I wanted a cake at the last minute. I ordered at 9:00 a.m. in the morning and was able to receive my cake at 1:00 p.m. It was gorgeous and so delicious. I used to live in Williamsport and always loved these vanilla cakes with vanilla icing. I haven’t had one in probably 15 to 20 years and this was just as delicious as I ever remember it being, maybe even more so. The decorating was so amazing for such a short notice! For as long as I can remember my pop pop would buy a Roy’s bakery cake for every single birthday, it was a tradition. Even while deployed overseas, my father sent me a cake for my birthday… granted it came as a giant ball of icing and cake, but it was delicious nonetheless. I will forever buy a Roy’s bakery cake for any momentous occasion in my life or my families lives. If you love cake (and who doesn’t), then I would highly suggest buying a cake or some sugar cookies. You will never be disappointed!!
My husband has continued the tradition by buying cakes for all occasions. The most recent cake he bought was for the birth of our daughter and it’s the largest cake they offer.

It is extremely outdated. Pastry and cake shelves barely had anything in them. Only cookies they had were sugar cookies that looked like my 5 year old made them.
I did purchase 1 cake and a dozen cupcakes.They were very basic, but cake was soft and moist. It was definately a freshly made cake and freshly made cupcakes.
Service and taste of the cake and cupcakes are a 5 star, but 1 star for the look being so outdated and pastry/cake cases were just about empty.
I would go back for cake and cupcakes. I would reccommend them as well.

I used to order and will not go back. I ordered a full sheet unicorn cake. I went to pick up and besides being so ugly they made two half sheets and charged me more money. Design was on one. I was told the things to put the case on did not come in on time. Also flies were allover the items. I mentioned it and it was brushed off. The cake was very ugly.

The past few years the service and product presentation have gone down hill. They refused to put the requested color frosting on the cake because they didn’t want to make a new batch in one case. In another we received our cake still in the pan. The sides did not having any frosting. No cookies in the case. Very disappointing compared to the years of great products we have enjoyed before.

I’ve been enjoying Roy’s Bakery since I was kid. When we decided to get married, the only thing I requested was a Roy’s cake. We requested a beach theme and they did not disappoint. And underneath the icing was their signature white and chocolate cake – absolutely delicious! I saw another review that said they are outdated – they are not. They are old school, keeping it basic and delicious. Don’t change a thing!
