Wonderful, authentic Mexican food, freshly prepared, generously sized portions. The owner was very friendly and asked how we liked the food, so we ended up chatting for a few minutes. Enjoyable conversation. Our family loved the colorful decor – it’s worth walking around the restaurant to see the handcrafted wooden chairs – each one unique. Recommend this place highly. Great experience.

I was delivering at Moore hardwood down the block and I could smell the food cooking. So I took a walk to see about this place. The food was great. The super burrito as advertised was twice the size of the regular. Furthermore the elder gentleman taking my order was more than respectful and polite. Wish I were in this area more often.

Fantastic place to get tacos after a round of disc golf at Oyster Bay. Portion sizes are large, prices are good, the staff is super friendly, and most importantly, everything is delicious! The queso birria were outstanding and the carnitas was excellent, both in a taco and in a burrito. As a side note, the washroom was *immaculate*! My only minor niggle is that I didn’t think their salsas were up to the caliber of the rest of their offerings. The music was a bit loud for me which is why I gave atmosphere 4 stars rather than 5, but it might be because I’m old. I will definitely be returning!

As a Mexican myself, I can honestly say this is real, authentic Mexican food. Taqueria El Crucero does it right. The food has true flavor, not watered down, and you can tell it’s made with care. The service is top tier. Staff is friendly, fast, and welcoming every time. The ambiance is really good too. It feels comfortable, local, and like a real neighborhood spot. If you want authentic Mexican food in San Leandro, this place is worth it.

As a Mexican this place cooks like my mom (of course I could never say they better). Everyone is super friendly and feels authentic. Big bang for your buck $3 for taco with a tons of meat, picked jalapeño, carrot slices, picked radish, and LIMES not lemons (Uhg).

My car broke down in front of this place earlier today and it must have been a sign from god or something because I love burritos.
After calling AAA to get my car towed I decided to kill time and go in and try the place out. Guy at the counter was nice and asked me how my day was going. When I explained my predicament he told me my drink was on the house.
I have ordered the same burrito order (regular carnitas) from probably hundreds of different taquerias. This was easily in the top 3 of all time for me. The carnitas was absolutely cooked to perfection, with a mix of nice crispy strips and some juicy delicious chunks. Absolutely amazing.
10/10 would break down in front of here again. Even though I live 80 miles away I will be back, even with a fully functional car.

This place is great everything about this little restaurant is just unbelievable and the food can’t be matched . I was only there for a quick in and out lunch order and I’ll tell you what I wasn’t sure at first because when it comes to Mexican food it’s hard to find s place that really stands out but trust me this place is the one I’ll be there alot more now that I know where to find great food and atmosphere at a fare and low-cost dinning experience. Give them a try it’s worth it you’ll thank me for this gem.

Stopped here for lunch, the place is quiet small but the inside is very decorative and gives you a little glimpse of Mexican culture. I orderd their veggie bowl which was really tasty although I forgot to add grilled veggies to it which I think would have added even more flavor it the bowl.
Parking maybe a but tricky if at times it seems but you can definitely find a spot either right next to it or on the street!
