The location is clean with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have great hotdogs, chili, and soft steamed buns. It’s hard to beat a Wienerschnitzel chili dog.
At the window, I requested a receipt and noticed the order still showed chili. I asked the employee if the dogs had chili, and she confirmed they did. I explained that I specifically asked for no chili when ordering. Her response was “No you didn’t,” delivered with a clear attitude, followed by “That’s how they come and we can’t change it.” This was surprising, as I’ve made this same substitution many times without issue.
After some back-and-forth, she finally said they would remake the order, but by that point her agitation made me uncomfortable. I declined the remake, and she abruptly told me, “You can go now!”—which felt dismissive and unprofessional. When I asked for her name and the manager, she closed the window and walked away.
I pulled forward and went inside. The employee avoided me, and a very young male (about 19) stated he was the manager and gave the name Ashton, though he seemed hesitant. When I asked for the other employee’s first name, I was told it was “corporate policy” not to give names, despite the fact that no employees were wearing name tags. The manager did not offer to correct the order or resolve the situation and repeated that “that’s how they come.”
I left extremely disappointed. The lack of customer service, accountability, and basic professionalism—especially from someone placed in a leadership role—was shocking. I will be submitting a formal complaint to corporate.
I got the Chicago Dog and a drink, he had a double chilli cheese burger and a chilli cheese dog, potatoes & a drink.
We ordered all polish dogs, because we prefer that texture, it did cost extra but we were okay with that & happy they had an option.
The food looked like quintessential junk food should. The taste was on point. One of the staff came out and was joking around with everyone in the lobby, while quizzing everyone with the “How was everything?” question .We had so much fun being silly there
As farmers silly days are not common, too busy for all of that!!! Made for an amazing fun time that made us feel teenagery I guess.
Only 3 cons:
Only seats 29 people and it would be kinda crowded…. I think 29 people is a stretch.
The dogs needed a more substantial hot dog bun. The bun winds up a little too soggy towards the end of your hot dog, so the last of it you have to eat without the bread.
It cost $35 for 2 people
Please give me 20. Eat 2 b4 leaving
Dried ice put the rest on hold for a freezer….goldmine….
My lunch items…off and on across the month….
But I’ll be back.
