We celebrated our Anniversary in Phillipsburg. Sand Trap was right across the street from our hotel. Our server/bartender Susan absolutely wonderful! We can’t wait to visit with her in Hays. Went back the next night for dinner. Alyssa our server was absolutely amazing as well! I had the Ribeye dinner. WOW! Best steak ever!!!

Well I had a spot, and I needed a steak to hit that spot. After looking at other places in town, I saw people talking about “the best steak ever” at the Sandtrap. I was skeptical, but hungry. Boy, let me tell you. That steak hit the spot. It was so tender, I could cut it with my butter knife. I’ve had worse steaks at chain steakhouses that I paid twice as much for. This was a dang good steak. If you’re in Phillipsburg, and want a steak, head to the Sandtrap.

I am a true believer in the fact, if you can find where the locals eat, you are surely going to have a great meal! And Sand Trap did not disappoint. We were a large party of 15. Didn’t faze them!! The food was wonderful! Several people in our party had the chicken fried meals! They looked amazing! Children loved their meals too!! We surely be back!!

I took my lady friend there t to this place 7-4-2025 the men’s bathroom stall didn’t lock you literally have to hold the door to use the toilet. The pool table felt is ripped with a big hole & has very gross stains on it as well as the carpet back there that has disgusting stains everywhere back there. & they only have 3 pool sticks to play pool & one little broken piece of pool stick chalk to play pool back there I was not impressed we both had drinks went to the front of the bar gave are drinks back paid are tab and left. As far as I’m concerned it was a not a good time. & Was very disappointed ☹️ but this is the saddest part. There’s not that many bars left in Phillipsburg Kansas. Evidently the owner is not any attention or doing anything about what his establishment looks like to others that come into town or come to the sandtrap bar & grill like the biggest rodeo in Kansas that was just here in Phillips county.

Great place to eat in a small town. I had the smoked pork chop. It was great, but just a bit salty. The kitchen staff is hopping, non-stop. I wish the white gravy wasn’t the instant stuff, but it’s okay. The great double crown and diets in tall glasses kept me well hydrated though! Stop in. You won’t regret it.

Food was very tasty! Clean and friendly atmosphere and the staff was quick to service the customers and myself! Kids were a lil disappointed they didn’t get more mini corn dogs but they enjoyed then greatly. It was my first time at the establishment and look forward to visit again.
