I enjoyed the soft and fluffy pancakes with the salmon croquettes. The grits were fine and they also have some lunch items. I appreciate the hot and ready concept. The prices are laid out on the board and you can combo anything. Not too spectacular, but will cure the hunger pains. The hashbrowns were nice and fresh and better than the waffle house ones, but they don’t have much seasoning in which case you can add your own.

Mamie’s Kitchen was very good! I absolutely loved the taste of everything I tried. Their sausage gravy was phenomenal. Their biscuits is what they’re known for, and there a huge success there. I was very impressed with my biscuit, and that right there should earn them a 5. Their chicken is incredibly crunchy and fried just right. I devoured that piece with so much joy! 🙂 I didn’t try their hash browns, but I’m sure they would be just as good. I loved they made my eggs over hard just right. They weren’t burnt or yolk filled! I appreciate that because I won’t eat runny yolk, and sometimes people don’t get it when we say over hard. I hate sending eggs back, but people ought to learn. Well, Mamie’s knew, and they’re eggs were perfect, meaning they didn’t over cook them either. They had Texas Pete and Tabasco peppers which made my experience better. Their cheese grits were heavenly, soft and tasty. I was delighted!!! The sausage has a mild kink to it, and it was great! The regular grits have a little salt to them, not buttery, so you may have to add some and some pepper unless you want to add syrup to make them sweet, which they have. I didn’t try their coffee but wish I had. Their sweet tea was very good, standard good Southern Sweet Tea. I would have given them a five except I don’t like that on the diner side, they can’t serve with regular white plates that aren’t styrofoam or plastic. I appreciated they had stainless steel utensils, but it would be amazing to serve food on ceramic plates for those dining in, to make the experience even more amazing and a total 5! But the food alone is a five to me and very well deserved for breakfast Southern choice! Coming from a Texan Southerner, thumbs up!! I would like to try more of their choices soon. I’m only here for a couple of days.

I love trying different breakfast/brunch spots, so after reading the reviews I was excited to try this place….I was not pleased at all. I think I set my expectations too high.
So first you order at the counter before being seated. The only thing non disposable is the utensils. I ordered chicken and eggs plate with biscuit and gravy. Eggs were cold and the chicken was so hard and chewy as if it was an old piece of grilled chicken that they battered and fried days before. All of the food was bland and was in dire need of seasoning. Definitely not worth going back.

I come here every day on my way to work I love the food but the customer service is really bad the women there are seem very unhappy and gives off rude energy I would rather drive all across town for the food or just start going else where. i also work in customer service and the way they treat you is not acceptable. Why spend money at a place you don’t feel appreciated or like you are a bother to be served horrible I have been waiting to write this hoping things would change but clearly not… I must say today I came by and Tiffany waited on me outside and what a huge difference. She’s so friendly very very good customer service and I’m gonna tell you what she needs to be the face of this company when serving the people at this place. she was amazing so nice and friendly and very appreciated of us coming here so I have to say heads up to Miss Tiffany wow what a huge difference I hate I wrote all that before, but I was fed up coming here and feeling like they make you feel but boy does she change that today so heads up to Tiffany and thank you again

Already had a job down in that area of town so we noticed this place without me get some breakfast. It’s funny when I was in there they had a mural of the old original list building and a realized that I used to eat there and Stone mountain pay many years ago. I visited this location today with my husband. Since it was our first time eating here we both ordered the Breakfast Platter, which consisted of eggs, sausages, a biscuit and gravy. I added cheese grits to my meal as well. Let me say that the prices aren’t what is posted. This restaurant will .50-$1 you to death until your meal is much higher than you expected. We were charged an extra dollar a piece for the sausage gravy, even though it was supposedly included in the meal. Maybe the sausage gravy was extra, but it wasn’t posted, so I’m not sure. Now to the food.
The eggs weren’t good to me at all. We ordered them scrambled with cheese (which is extra) but they were very soft and tasteless. The sausages had no flavor at all and my cheese grits were loaded with a bunch of salt and not much else. Definitely didn’t taste anything like “cheese” grits. More like regular grits that were extra salty. Honestly, the only shining light was the sausage gravy, which was very good in my opinion.
The atmosphere was decent and the restaurant itself was clean and well kept. Not sure if I’ll eat here again or not.

May 2025 I ordered chicken fried chicken mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese 2 days in a row. After eating the chicken fried chicken I developed SALMONELLA POISONING due to uncooked chicken or chicken stored improperly. Days later of being diagnosed I developed SEPTIC SHOCK and almost lost my life. I was in and out of the hospital on my Death Bed for 5 months trying to fight this deadly disease. I ENCOURAGE PEOPLE DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT! You should not be on Deaths bed trying to eat a meal!
