I would post photos but we all finished our ramen too fast. The Chashu Ramen and black garlic oil are a must.
We ordered to-go from the road fully intending to grab it and go, but as soon as we walked in, they offered us a place to sit and eat in with about half an hour til closing.
Not that it impacts the food, but the holiday decor was adorable. Thanks folks!
However, I did want to mention an odd experience we had a few months ago. During one of our school breaks, my friend and I came in and ordered ramen. My friend has some food restrictions, so she requested a few modifications, including having the noodles served on the side. Unfortunately, the order kept coming back with mistakes — either missing something or including something she had asked to be left out. Eventually, we gave up on correcting it since we felt bad, even though the mistakes weren’t on our end.
The uncomfortable part came when, after my friend decided to just eat the ramen as it was, the cook unexpectedly came out from the back. He approached our table, offered to add the noodles to my friend’s bowl himself, and despite us politely declining and thanking him, he went ahead and did it anyway — even taking her utensils to mix the food without her consent. We kept saying it was fine, but he didn’t respond and simply left after finishing.
It was a confusing and uncomfortable moment, and while it hasn’t stopped us from visiting entirely, it did make us feel a bit uneasy. I still recommend the restaurant for its affordability and good food, but I wanted to share this experience for transparency.
The customer service is amazing, Food is served quick, Food taste great.
There is only one lady welcoming guests, Taking orders, cleaning tables and serving the food, But she does it really good. Her multitasking skills are well refined such that she keeps everyone served and replenished.
Fried tofu wasn’t crispy but I think it’s because we took it to go.
I also like how they separated the broth from the bits and had cardboard to go bowls. Environmental friendly ❤️❤️
I would come back here again
The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and I enjoyed listening to Japanese music they had playing in the restaurant.
Our waitress was named Juniper they were very friendly and helpful.
Now to the food.
I ordered the spicy miso ramen extra spicy. The ramen broth was mostly okay flavor not the best I’ve experienced, the dish came with thin noodles which were a bit chewy for my taste and they clumped together a bit too much the other complaint I had would be that the egg in the ramen was super cold in the center and would have been more enjoyable if it had been warm. My wife had the seafood ramen and she really enjoyed the softshell crab in the ramen but she also felt like the broth and noodles could have been done better and her egg was cold as well.
We also had a side order of extra charahu which was decent and kimchi which tasted delicious.
I will probably try a different ramen shop next time but if I go back I will order something else to give them a second try.
First time here. We were in the shopping area and the wife said, “Hey there’s a ramen shop here.” Our business was done so it was lunch time, so I said we should check it out.
The restaurant was a nice little place. A few tables and even a bar area. Nice Asian atmosphere in there with the decor and the fountain inside.
I had the chicken ramen. Loved the broth! The chicken was okay.
Wife had the shrimp ramen. She liked it. Said the mushrooms were a bit meh.
There was only one server working. That was fine when we walked in. It was us and another couple. But by the time we left the place was packed!
A Yelp review said the food came out fast! They were right! We ordered some edamame but after the 2nd one our ramen was in front of us!
This has been my 2nd time in real ramen restaurant. I love noodles and it’s weird that I never got to ramen places. I would like to try their other offerings.
(I had to take a star off because my chicken was very okay. I ordered it on the advice of the server. Remember the broth was excellent! The chicken was okay.)
I would recommend coming here.
