I AM SEETHING. I walked into that deli expecting a quick lunch, and instead, I was treated like a human punching bag for processed meats.
The “sandwich artist” behind the counter—who clearly has the temperament of a deranged gladiator—grabbed a massive, 10-pound industrial-sized summer sausage and swung it like a Louisville Slugger. WHAM. Straight across my jaw. I saw stars, I tasted copper, and I’m pretty sure my molars are now embedded in the ceiling tiles.
The worst part? The instant the meat made contact, the guy turned into a weeping mess. He started hyperventilating, shouting, “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to unleash the log!” And his idea of an apology? FORCE-FEEDING ME HAM.
Before I could even stand up or call the police, he started frantically rolling up slices of honey-glazed ham and shoving them into my bruised mouth like he was trying to fill a pothole. Every time I tried to scream for help, another wad of cold, salty deli meat hit my tongue. “Eat the ham! It’ll heal the swelling!” he shrieked, tears streaming into the meat slicer.
I left that building covered in grease, smelling like a smokehouse, and nursing a concussion from a blunt-force sausage trauma. I don’t want your pity ham! I want my dignity back and a jaw that doesn’t click every time I breathe!

I’m partially handicapped so the curb side service is so appreciated but on top.of that they almost never make an error (I’ve got some picky eaters too at home) and are Always fast and friendly! I just walked out of this Jersey Mikes about 15 minutes ago. When I was here, another customer mentioned he was from New York. One of the guys working behind the counter said something along the lines of “I’ve been a few time but I don’t like it.” The customer said “Yeah, it’s crazy up there.” Then Xander (I got his name from the receipt, he was the shorter cashier with dark brown hair) said “Yeah, probably because there’s so many gay people.” I’m not here to be the thought police, I understand we all have our own beliefs and opinions about the state of the world. But I would advise the staff, specifically Xander, working at this Pittsboro Jersey Mike’s to be more cognizant about what they say while working at a business that is intended to serve all people. It just isn’t a good look.

We ordered delivery via the Jersey Mike’s app. I just mentioned in the instructions for my sub that I would like extra mayo please, and that my last order did not have this or one of the other sub components, but that it was not a big deal and my sub was still very tasty overall. This time they went over and above to make it right and not only included a coupon for a free sub, but also included a handwritten note apologizing for the previous mistake. Thank you so much to the staff of Jersey Mike’s in Pittsboro!! ❤️ Probably the most wonderful customer experience I have ever had…anywhere!
