However, in my experience, they really put a lot in your refills which we know that we can’t stomach it all but it’s ok since we kinda lacked on communication.
It has an outdoor vibes to it, but when I ate on the table they forgot to clean the dog poop on the ground by the rocks behind me that I didn’t notice till I stood up and saw it. Ahaha… So for sanitation purposes, since it’s a restaurant though it’s outdoor themed please mind the dog poops.
You can park outside just, but make sure not to block the road.
Staff are accommodating.
Service – the server was good.
Atmosphere – many flies.
France and I visited Hilltop Crabs Buffet on May 5, 2024, arriving as the first customers at 11:30 am. We ordered a meal for three people and a 1.5-liter bottle of Coke. Our food included crabs, mussels (tahong), and shrimps with Cajun sauce. However, during our meal, we noticed many flies around our table, including some unusually large ones. After finishing, we took the leftover food to my parents’ house, a 15-minute drive away. We arrived around 12:45 pm, and my family—my father, mother, sister, and grandmother—shared the seafood and Coke.
Later that day, around 6 pm, France began feeling unwell, despite only having eaten the brunch from the restaurant. By 8 pm, she was experiencing diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, and a fever that spiked from 37.5 to 39.4 degrees Celsius. We rushed her to Metro Davao Medical and Research Center for treatment and were discharged at 3 am on May 6. Shortly after, around 5 am, I began experiencing similar symptoms. Upon contacting my family, I discovered they were also suffering from the same symptoms, which was particularly concerning for the three seniors among them. The smell of the vomiting and feces was unbearable due to the intense stench. This troubling symptom was consistent among all of us who had eaten the seafood, leading to discomfort. The severity of our condition underscored the necessity of seeking help at the hospital. We took them to Brokenshire Medical Center, and I was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis with moderate dehydration.
I have contacted the restaurant regarding this incident. Ma’am Hazel recommended that I report the issue to the City Health Department for an impartial investigation. Although the restaurant does not want to take responsibility for what happened, it is evident that they should.
Chicken wings are also available.
