Distinctive Mexican baked goods and very personable owner. After dinner out at a nearby restaurant we saw this place online (looked for desserts) and decided to give it a try. Glad we did!
We got a bag full of treats for $6.50 … less than a dessert would have cost each of us at the restaurant. Since we were not familiar with the selections, the owner talked us through all the items. Wow! He even pointed out some things we might find quite different (like the donuts).
We each ate a treat in the car (couldn’t wait) and took the rest home. They were ALL delicious. Yes, even the donuts. There is no question. We will certainly return. Probably quite often.

1st time in and of course we went nuts and bought a bunch of pastries plus a tres leches cake! The tres leches didn’t make it out of the parking lot. Not the best we have had but damn good. The price was a steal for all the food we had. We will definately go back and try more!

I didn’t like the concha de vanilla.
I liked the oreja de chocolate but my friends did not…YMMV.
The creme filled eclair was very rich.

Our family loves coming here. The food is just amazing and so fresh. My favorite is the doughnuts, but all of the pastries and cakes are so good!

This is the pinnacle of a hispanic bakery. Best cakes, baked goods, hand made empanadas, tortas, imported sodas and drinks. The gentleman that works here/owns it takes pride in ALL of his food and baked goods and everything is beautiful and tastes delicious. I love this bakery and recommend it to everyone.

We bought a Rosca de Reyes or King’s Cake for our wonderful tradition. As a Mexican-born self-proclaimed foodie, this was hands down the BEST rosca I’ve had in my life. The guava and cheese filling was fresh and the bread was soft and delicious. I will be back for more pastries!

I found this bakery on Wade Hampton by just googling. I walked in the door and was met with one of the nicest men who explained all of the cakes to me. Wasn’t sure what to expect. I took it to my husband‘s birthday party. When we cut into it the entire party was talking about how amazing this cake was. I took my first bite and realized exactly what they were talking about. Unbelievable! One of the best cakes I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend El Horno Bakery to anyone looking for great quality cakes and desserts. Great service as well.
