Good-sized eatery with seafood-heavy Chinese options, dim sum & set menus for groups.

The dim sum is quite good here, and the dinner menu is great. Great roomy dinning hall if you can get a table on the outside. They have two more sitting areas inside that have no windows. Great place for friends & family gathering – you can take a nice stroll along the water front of the Foster City lagoon afterwards. The Siu Mei and the Beef Ball are my two go-to dim sums there.

Really good dim sum =) there has been a marked improvement with the new menu!
Anything with beancurd skin is great. The mango prawn roll was juicy and tasty, even though we could not really taste the mango.
Lobster noodle is amazing, lobster was juicy and huge.
Siew Mai is big and juicy.
The custard bun could do with more custard too but the bun was soft and fluffy, and the filling was awesome.
Phoenix eye dumpling has juicy prawn and nice scallop topping.
Pan fried chive dumpling is perfectly crisp, chewy, and a burst of tasty filling!
Sticky lotus leaf rice was filled with food ingredients like mushrooms and sausage, and very fragrant.
Not a fan of the tea marinated chicken and prawn spinach dumpling and 小笼包。
4 dishes fills two of us up.

I was there for the first time for lunch, service on this day was friendly and the dumplings were delicious. Then I went again one evening with my little daughter. We were only a while at the front desk because no one was present. Then came a lady who worked as an operator and has led us totally dismissive and disinterested to a table. All the other set tables had napkins, but not mine. The service was so inattentive and did not notice. Good that I had the wet towels my daughter. To the food itself; I once ordered dumplings, these were delicious as always. And as a second Fried chicken. As the food is served on the plate, I only say one thing: totally careless and not tasty for the optical eye. the kitchen should go a little bit more effort, while arranging the dishes, especially at the price. After all, it’s not a snack. That was my personal experience.

Used to be my favorite dim sum place in the Bay Area but it’s now changed. They no longer come out with carts so you have to order off the menu which isn’t as exciting. That aside, the food quality also got a lot worse. Out of the 6-7 items we ordered last time, most of them were either too greasy or cold, or lacking in flavor. Very disappointed.

Came here for a graduation dinner catering 4 tables. Service was reasonably good but food was is very much average for a banquet dinner style restaurant.
Honestly if you’re here for the food alone, I would argue going to a local Chinatown restaurant because most of it is under flavored, even the sweet soup in the end is near water in taste. Chicken tasted overcooked or refrigerated and reheated, Watercress was slightly old and Fish Belly Soup was rather tasteless. Abalone and Seabass were the only dished that were reasonably cooked.
For beverages, they asked us if we wanted soda and Apple cider as they were going to charge us $15 uncorking fee for our own bottle of $6 wine. My brother went ahead with it and the 2 liter coke came up to $10 per bottle.
I certainly cannot recommend this restaurant for either service or food especially at over $400 per table of 10 when Green Island can do it at $66 per table of 10. Though it may not be a nice restaurant like ABC Seafood restaurant provides everything else and better.

Service is TERRIBLE. Waiting takes forever, and a lot of times they wouldn’t respond even when we directly tried to get someone. One dish never showed up till we finished and asked to cancel that one; then it was ready in 3 mins. We asked to check out, waited 15 mins and no one showed up, so we walked to the cashier. We asked why so slow, the manager said there were many customers and that’s the best they could do, in a very UNFRIENDLY tone, with no apology at all. Very irritated. Seriously, I would never go to this place again. It has the worst service I have had in years. Dimsum is mediocre. The hakows were sticking together and hard to separate. Tripes were over cooked.

Went here with three other people on the evening 31st October. As soon as the food was served the staff sat round another table to eat there own dinner, and pretty much ignored us until they had finished. At this point they clearly decided they wanted to go home and asked us to pay before we’d even finished eating. Then they made it clear they wanted us to finish up and leave so they could close. This was about 9:45 pm. Shocking service. The food wasn’t up to much either.

This is the first experience for me to eat here with my family. The food was fine, but the services was really bad. Maybe we didn’t come to the right time, but the services seriously did a bad job no matter how busy they are. We known that we came in a busy time, but the first time they asked us to sit in, didn’t provide any menu to us, therefore, we didn’t know how to make order. we were confused because we didn’t know if we need to order with the waitress or the carts will come around us. This dim sum is not as usual as others. Usually the cart go around and let us pick the foods we wanted, but this one is totally different. Because is our first time here, so we were really confused in the beginning because no one come to serve us within at least 10 mins, and more importantly, without menu. We try to get a waitress but they didn’t even seem to notice us at all, without menu, or no drink. They kept serve others. Finally someone came ask for drink, and gave us hot water. After the hot water finally came, we kept awaiting longer till someone given us the menu. We tried to reach several waitresses but none of them seemed to care. This is very rude to us, I mean we are the customer, at least you should be happily serve to us, but all their faces looking mad and something bad happen in that day. They serve food also really really slow, and the one we wanted they said it was out, so we didn’t order more even though we wanted to. The other thing is that when the food finally came, we asked the waitress to cut the bun for us, then she quickly asked the other guy to do it. What the…I DON’T GET IT. YOU HAVE THE scissor near you why couldn’t you do it for us? I’m not sure if this just happen to us, or we came in the wrong day. Overall the food was fine, but we probably not going to go back anymore. They should at least give us the menu as they taken us in the sit, then we know what to do. we have been confused for 20 mins and no one come to us.

Four stars for being the best dim sum in the area. However, the food is quite expensive, and also hit or miss. While some dishes were very fresh and nuanced, others were extremely oily and lacking in flavor.

If you come here on the weekend for dim sum, the food is not bad for the location of Foster City. You can have better, but do you really want to drive all the way to Chinatown in the City? This review is for lunch time on a weekday. I made the mistake of ordering the fried turnip cake and the siu mai. As I came by myself I couldn’t really order much. Unfortunately, the turnip cake came out barely lukewarm as it was already cooked and waiting to be ordered by a sucker like me on one of those serving delivery trays. The siu mai came out piping hot, but the skin literally fell apart from over steaming. I wouldn’t come back here for a weekday lunch. They apparently serve better dim sum on the weekends. Possibly because they have more clientele. Also, if you are wearing any dark clothing, be prepared to be completely covered in white tablecloth lint. See picture. FYI, I always de-lint myself before going out. This pix is the aftermath.
