Cave is truly a hidden gem and one of a kind restaurant. The setting is a very unique where tables are placed in between wine barrels for a private and intimate feel inside a modern tunnel cave with minimalistic decor one would think you’re in a Nordic country instead of California.
We had an a reservation for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the host properly checked us in and we got seated after a very short wait.
Since it’s a Sunday they have a brunch menu in addition to their regular menu.
For starter we had the birria empanada which is nicely fried and comes with consommé (4/5).
The pork belly hash is decent but a bit underwhelming and somewhat lacking in flavor (3/5).
The duck leg confit is quite nicely done. It’s savory and tender with the slightly sweet red wine cherry sauce as a perfect companion along with the tasty mashed potato (5/5).
Overall I would rate 4/5 for the food but the unique dining experience inside the wine cave.

The views and everything were really pretty however the service was subpar. When our dinner came out the table runner accidentally dropped my husband’s Seabass on the floor and partially on him. We get it mistakes happen, he apologized and said he’d get another one out right away. After 15 minutes go by, a new plate finally arrives. Never once saw our server in that time. My food got cold waiting because I was raised to wait until everyone has their food to eat. Didn’t particularly plan on going out on a date night just to watch the other eat alone. Order a flight of mixed wine and the sparkling flight. After looking at our check later at home our server rang the sparkling up as the mimosa flight ($13 more). She never once apologized for the wait on the food or offer any sort of compensation. Barely saw her the whole time and was just left waiting. The food was decent and the wine was tasty but I doubt we’ll be back after that experience.

Amazing ambiance. If you have the chance to sit in the cave, definitely do it. The truffle gnocchi, salmon, and cave burger were very good. I would absolutely come back and get all of that again.

I took my mom here for an early Mother’s Day gift on 5/3 around noon. The outside of the property is extremely pleasant. They have heater lamps/fire pits to keep outside customers warm. The parking is somewhat limited, so get there early. When we got into the restaurant they have a sign that says something along the lines of, “please wait to be seated”. We waited a few minutes before a gentleman arrived & apologized for the wait. Please be aware it is very cold in the restaurant, so dress warm. We waited at least 15-20min before we were served water…ridiculous. It took that same time to be greeted by our waitress. I was pretty disappointed with the service considering the reputation of this establishment has. There was also trash on the floor. It is very low light, so I am guessing staff was unaware. We also had to ask 3x for a new table light because ours was so dark. The food really good aside from some order errors. My mom asked for a medium rare steak & it was tough. For $50 I expect the steak to be cooked somewhat close to what the customer requested if not exactly what they asked for. Also, I ordered a blonde ale and the beer was semi warm ?? I should have requested a new one, but I didn’t speak up. Overall I was disappointed with my experience & won’t be returning. Please work on customer service.

I didn’t get a chance to dine here. I waited about 15 mins to order and finally decided to go elsewhere. It was a hot day, and while they do have misters it wasn’t really do a good job of keeping the patio cool, and the only other option was indoors in the back of the tasting room, no windows and the AC was so cold, that you’d need a jacket to dine inside.

Atmosphere is probably the best we’ve been to for food, tied with renzoni next door. Nice outdoor turf area where you can order food with live music when we went on Sunday starting at 1230 and a patio for primary outdoor seating. The turf area definitely has better views.
Service was fast and great.
Food was average. Chimichuri fries were banging and the moscato was good too. Temecula wine will never be able to compete with Napa, so if you’re on the hunt for “good wine” you’re not really going to find it around here.
Burgers and breakfast plate were mids. No salt on the eggs, breakfast potatoes weren’t that good. The burger was what you would expect, but the fries were great.
Another popular app we saw was the sourdough on red sauce. Couple of different tables got that.
Overall, will definitely be back for the views and atmosphere and probably some moscato

We had a phenomenal experience in the outdoor seating. Beautiful and relaxed setting where depending on where you are seated, you will get a little view of vines and the fields. The wait staff are very friendly and efficient friendly, and the food was excellent.
Would definitely recommend the winery and café for celebrations, small groups, and couples wanting a nice casual dinning experience outdoors.
All of the food for all in my party looked suburb and from the smiles, tasted as well.
I can speak for the Chimichurri Fries! Spectacular. The flavor of the meat, the crispy outside and soft inside fries with the seasoning, then the chimichurri sauce poured over with queso fresco. Divine. It’s a large appetizer that could easily be a meal or shared plate. I had that as my main with the summer beet salad. Salad was delicious, the sliced peaches and yellow beats were crisp and flavorful. My only dislike, despite how much I love cheese and feta specifically, is that the whipped feta could be a bit less. The whipped feta was delicious, but the vegetables sat on a large bed of it.
For dessert we had the puff pastry with fresh berries and it was light, delicious, and freshing with the blueberry cream cheese filling. My parents had the mousse trio and said they were excellent.
Can’t wait to return, try other dishes, and experience the more formal indoor dining inside the cave.

We love the VIEWS! extremely friendly staff. Good wine variety. A lot of open areas and places to move around, however Saturdays and Sundays it gets busy. Fridays are less busy. We couldn’t do the cave tour because we came too late. We had a charcuterie board, it was not typical cheese, more of unique good quality instead. We also brought our own crackers, they were ok with that. Their bathrooms were very clean on the men’s side. We didn’t eat their restaurant/ Cafe but I saw some appetizing food. I would come back.

This winery ❤️❤️❤️ I stumbled across this winery on Google and we couldn’t have been more impressed. We ate lunch inside (of a cave!) and everything was absolutely spectacular. From strawberry sparking wine and Caveman Red to chimichurri steak fries and lemon-parmesan risotto… everything was PERFECTION.
