Both got the Super Burrito with carnitas and they were really good. Came with a basket of chips so we made use of the salsa bar. Chips were really good, the red salsa was our favorite but all were good. Friendly employees, fast service, outdoor seating, huge menu, reasonable prices, and busy the entire time we were there. A bit out of our way but highly recommend.

It’s a great little joint for authentic Mexican food. Hard-working team that could benefit from dual checkout delivery system for pre-paid orders. Innovative ways to implement this in available space. Taco Tuesdays are the !

I’ve had food from this establishment but in Manteca. Food was delicious there but not here. Food was warm, not hot even though it came out quickly. I wouldn’t recommend but everybody’s taste buds are.different.

Another go to Mexican spot if I’m around. They recently moved to a smaller spot within the same shopping center. The new setup is nice. Me and my wife went for lunch. I have the California burrito and she had Al pastor tacos. She said her food was tasty with good portioned. The burrito was fire. They have an excellent salsa bar and tvs (watch man united lose – a plus for me). All in all, I definitely will return.

I got myself a steak torta. The food was pretty good. Kind of bummed out they didn’t have the meet that I wanted. Fries where great, I was not expecting fries on my plate. This place got more pricey than I used to remember. I should of got seafood instead for the price..

Fantastic food here. Google make confuses with pizza twist for some weird reason. Nevertheless I’ve put some of the dishes below and included the menus so that you can see what there is to offer.

The place serves good Mexican food. The gentleman taking orders at the counter is always so pleasant and recommends dishes when asked.
The staff forgot our tortillas and brought it when my Sister was close to finishing her dish and proceeded to take it away instead of leaving it with her. She was quite annoyed by it. There can be a bit of a wait for your food when the place is busy.
The place could use an update and get cleaned up a bit. The floors were quite dirty.

I’ve visited this location in Sacramento twice now and have had some version of a cóctel each time. Portions are HUGE, but the seafood vs veggie ratio is low. The flavor is good, the onions and black salsa are a nice touch, I just wanted a bit less diced cucumber/tomato and more octopus/seafood. Salsa bar at the back of the restaurant is a nice touch, there’s a good variety of salsas and condiments to choose from. Service is mediocre and place is clean. I would recommend checking it out, my friend gets the shrimp cóctel every time and has been super happy with it.

La Estrella is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Elk Grove/South Sacramento area. I’ve been going there for the past 3 years and the quality of the food has not changed and their staff has always been very friendly. They have homemade tortillas on the weekend, which go perfectly with fajitas or menudo! Their salsa bar is amazing, with so many choices to choose from. The best part, is that I’m only 5 mins away from this delicious place!

Really enjoyed the el pastore crunchy taco!!! I wished I had only ordered that and I will be back for more. Was a little disappointed in the carnita tacos because I found a small bone, sure was glad I didn’t bite down on it!!! If the bone wasn’t in the meat they would have 5 stars for sure!!
