A FIVE-STAR stop for the family at Surf City’s Maine Lobstah Shack. Excellent menu and drinks, very helpful and friendly staff, great merch, and best of all SUPER Lobstah Rolls! All dining is outdoors and the Surf City Park is right next door, with lots of activities for the kiddos!

The staff was very nice and helpful and the location was just relaxing. Great view of the bridge and clean sitting area (outdoor). The “lobstah” roll was packed with huge pieces of lobster and it was delicious. I also got the clam chowder, so I left full and happy! I was also starving because I somehow managed to forget a picture of the actual meal. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely enjoy the freshest, well prepared lobster in a family-owned eatery. In Surf City, a short drive from everywhere it is a must for all.
As a lifelong northern coastal gal I can vouch this one of the best prepared lobster outside of Maine.
Trevor & Jenn, bff’s & family are gracious to all. Their unique story warms the heart as does the food.
Lobster bisque samples were served as we walked up. One taste I knew they could cook!
We ordered the bisque & lobster in a bowl with romaine lettuce. Unadorned you can taste the freshness & perfectly cooked it was. Bravo!!
It was so great we ordered 2nd’s & visiting again.
Dessert tidbits were passed out freely, sweet.
If this eatery were in a traditional seafood restaurant it would have easy cost 3+x’s the price. It’s that good.
The view is amazing too!
Note: Don’t let any of your little pieces of trash go into the grassy meadows.
Tips are shared, be generous to the family.
Handicap access, no stairs. Gravel driveway.

Hands down, this is the best seafood I have eaten in the Wilmington area. And here’s the crazy part. If you didn’t know better, you might put this place on the back burner just because of how unassuming it looks. Don’t make that mistake. This outdoor setup is quietly serving some of the most incredible seafood you will ever put in your mouth.
They do an outstanding job of packing real, generous portions of lobster into everything. No skimping. Just legit seafood. Whatever they are doing with their seasoning, sauces, and bisque base is absolutely remarkable. The way they elevate the lobster flavor is both inspiring and unforgettable.
I had the lobster bisque, which was loaded with lobster, and the clam chowder, and both were among the best I’ve ever had. Easily the best I’ve had anywhere around Wilmington.
On top of the food, the owner, Trevor, is an incredible human being. He has a powerful, God-driven story that points clearly to God’s grace, mercy, and provision in his life. Beyond that, he’s just a genuinely good guy, period.
I cannot recommend Main Lobster Shack highly enough. If you love seafood and want the real deal, this place should be at the very top of your list.

We had such a great experience at Maine Lobsah Shack! Upon arrival, we were greeted by a young lady who was not only super kind but also so personable. Even though they were busy at the time, she went above and beyond by offering us little samples of the lobster bisque and clam chowder while we waited to order—both were delicious! The lobster roll itself was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Overall, wonderful service paired with incredible food. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the Surf City/Topsail area!

My wife ordered this for herself while hangin out in Surf City with a friend but didn’t eat it. So I was the lucky recipient of this bad boy. And let me tell you…. it was incredible. First of all, the cole slaw? FUGGETABOUTIT! And then that lobstah sammy… oh my GOSH! So freaking good. I sprinkled some butter on it and DANG it was amazing. I need to have food from this place at least once a month… it was amazing. I can’t wait to try other menu items. If you haven’t tried Maine Lobstah Shack yet, you absolutely should. Immediately.

Who thinks they’re gonna eat fresh Maine lobster at the beach in NC and not pay for it? Went there in July of 2025. Ordered 6 rolls to go, lobstah mac, even some wine. Nice variety of add-ons came with it. Yes It does cost a little bit. I was looking for the good stuff while on vacation, and I definitely found it here. The lobster rolls were amazing!! Lobstah mac was very good as well. Our to go containers even had well wishes written on them . May visit Topsail again in 2026, in part because of Maine Lobstah Shack. The young lady serving us was very informative and kind.

This was by far the best lobster I have ever eaten. The meat was tender and succulent the portions are good and the service was excellent. Drove from Kentucky to try this lobster and it was well worth it. Going back to eat dinner there again before driving home.

Amazing meal! We tried this place out and the man working gave us lobster on the house added to lobster bisque- so kind! The lobster in the roll is very generous. You could feel the kindess radiating from all the workers here. We were so happy we went back to our rental and told the rest of the family and they went to get dinner after we got back. Highly recommend!
