Theres no organisation in this place. The staff have no idea what’s on the menu, what’s unavailable. Partner ordered a Sapporo and staff brought out a Asahi and then told us they are out, same with my drink. It was just funny.
The salmon entree was a whole piece of salmon and who decided it was a good idea to put whatever the white bits on tartare, looks suspicious as hell
Keeps bringing every table the wrong drinks and wrong food. It’s very entertaining to see how they could get so wrong lol.
Chicken was so overcooked I thought I was cutting a brick. Fish had absolutely zero flavour. The chips were the only normal tasting food. Absolutely not worth the price. I’m not sure how they operate with this level of messing around. Views pretty tho.
Highly recommend the snail garden could of eaten a saucepan of it.
Antoine was well accommodating and the venue is beautiful, great views if you wish to eat outside. Staff were fantastic. Would recommend and definitely will go back. Parking was easy.
$120 for a 3 course set dinner (no drinks). Arrived to be told that because they were busy it would be a 90 min sitting. This was after I booked online with a deposit – no mention of 90 mins.
When I booked online I also had the option to
Prepay for 6 oysters ($38) which I did. No oysters arrive and we are served our starters.
I order a glass of red and receive a glass of sparking white with a greeting of here is your rouge.
Food average. The panna cotta desert was dreadful.
All in all, an absolutely dreadful experience. I want to support local restaurants but not this one.
For entrees, we had the salmon confit, which delivered a unique blend of flavours, and the glazed pork belly, which was quite tough rather than melt-in-the-mouth. One of the chefs came out to greet us and introduce the mains, which was super lovely. The eye fillet was very tender and enjoyable. The signature fish pie was sort of a miss. We weren’t expecting it to be so stew/soup-like. It was a little bland and there was more mushroom than fish in it. Overall, it’s worth visiting for the atmosphere and the location. I’d like to return in the daytime for a different view.
