Had lunch there today for the first time and it was delicious. It tastes like they use clean, new oil and fresh rice. Every dish was tasty and flavorful with good amounts of meat. The waitress was very pleasant and on top of drinks, food, everything. Will definitely be returning – it may be our family’s new go-to for Chinese food!

Had not been to the Gold Dragon in some time. Was my favorite place, not anymore. Had the mix and match and nothing tasted like it use too. The Egg Foo Young, had a very dark gravy and the patty was dry and not tasty . The Chicken Chow Mein had huge flat pieces of chicken and was very bland. Even the Fried Rice was bland.
Must have a different cook. Won’t be back until the food tastes like it use too. Makes me sad, because we come from Keizer.

I tried this restaurant a few years ago and was not happy with it, but that was during the Pandemic so I decided to give it another shot. The food has gotten worse not better. I ordered 3 items. 1- The Mongolian Beef was inedible, the Beef itself was either a) very low quality,b) sliced the wrong way making it very tough, c) was not tenderized enough with baking soda, or d) a combination of all 3. There was no way you could chew through the toughness of the meat. I ended up spitting the meat out and throwing the entire container away. Not to mention this item is just under $20 on this menu. Unacceptable! 2-The vegetable Lo Mein although tasty was cold when I got home and I only live 3 minutes away from the restaurant.3- The Sesame Chicken was the best of the bunch but only the top few pieces of the container had Sesame Seeds. These 3 items cost over $50 before tip. Sizzler quality at Ruth’s Chris prices. Golden Dragon will not be getting a 3rd chance.

Amazing! Ordered yakisoba chicken, wife had a combo platter. Everything is well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and doesn’t shy away from flavor. Hands down the best egg flower soup I’ve ever had. Will be returning a LOT.

My husband and I stopped in for bite and we were blown away by the food!! So tasty! And the service was great and the owner happened to there and he was very personable. We felt very at home with a great chef! We will definitely be returning soon! Thanks Gold Dragon!!

Food was good. Nothing to rave about but solid flavors, came out hot, fresh ingredients. The server was awesome though. She was a younger gal and was so sweet and nice. She was the only server there and she handled it wirh ease.

It’s a cute little place, clean and has a separate room for gambling if you like. The service was excellent, friendly and quick. We were checked on multiple times and drinks refilled. Generous portions, fresh food and it was delicious as well. I got the happy family but asked for it to be a little spicy and it was spot on. Crab Rangoon were perfect and everyone else enjoyed their food as well. Best egg drop soup I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend and we will be regulars from now on. Thank you for a wonderful experience 🙂

I had a yearning for egg flower soup. It was the only thing I ordered. It has more corn in it than anything else. I love egg flower soup, and I like corn, but aside from the occasional kernel, corn doesn’t belong in egg flower soup. Verdict: Corn chowder with peas and egg.

Haven’t been there in a minute, ordered takeout.
Waited the 15 min. Drove the food home 10 miles only to find no red or yellow sauce for the pork and the almond chicken was disgusting!!
I called politely to ask if I was supposed to ask for the sauces separately upon receiving the bag of food and was told it should have been included…..Garbage for $17

Disappointed. Door hours show 9:30pm close, Google Maps shows 9:15, and server stated she leaves at 8pm….so, at 7:40 the server would not take our Dine-In order. Evidently, 7:30pm is the cut-off for Dine-In orders. This new norm by small businesses really sucks. Remember the good ‘ol days when restaurants stayed open later and had plenty of employees? I blame the fear-driven Covid fiasco (thanks, Wutan). Lived here about 50 years and Salem used to be much better. So, Chopstick Bros has become our new favorite Salem Oriental restaurant. Gold Dragon used to be our 1st favorite and is still our 2nd fave. Kwans was the best in its hayday and was even still yummy and cozy until the end (R.I.P., Mr Kwan!). The food here is very good, the atmosphere is pretty comfortable, and the usual servers and cook/owner are quite polite. But, alas, tonight we had to take our precious cash elsewhere. We ended up at La Hacienda and, as always, the food was very good. However, Mexican food didn’t satisfy our immense craving that we had for Oriental tonight.
