We enjoyed a family outing at 1786 Steakhouse in Camden, SC. The atmosphere was comfortable. The interior/dining room area was organized well and clean. The restroom was clean and stocked with supplies. The interior was decorated for the Christmas holiday and looking festive. The service was good. The food was good. Thank you.

Went here for the first time while visiting relatives. Our server was Kelly. She was personable and gave us some great suggestions. We started off with buttery croissants. They were so good. We had the salmon, chicken fried sandwich, fish and chips and sliders. Everyone loved their selections. Hat off to the chef.
The place was decorated very nicely for the holiday. There is plenty of parking. There is a bar. Booths, chairs and tables. Bathroom was clean.
I would definitely recommend them. Please check them out when in the area.

Best steakhouse experience I’ve had in years! This Camden family owned restaurant is a new favorite of ours. The food was fantastic, Chef Jon did an incredible job. And the interior is so cool, love the lighting in the bar area and the local art pieces. Will be back soon!

Took the family in today for lunch. Everything was excellent. The wife had the Chicken Bruschetta, my father had the NY Strip, and my son and I both had the Wagyu burger.
The wife said her food was cooked perfectly and delicious.
My father is very picky with his steak and I asked him how his was and he pointed to an empty plate. I did taste a piece of the steak and it was great. I normally like a small amount of A-1 with my steak but none was needed. The steak had a great open flame smoke taste to it which was great.
The wagyu burgers were good. They come as three slider’s which I would personally like one normal sized burger as I don’t like a lot of bread and individual sliders add a lot of bread. That aside, they were cooked perfectly and had great flavor.
The atmosphere is nice with the smell of the grilled steak filling the air. Servers were friendly, polite, and took care of all your needs.

I would definitely recommend giving them a try. In fact I set a reservation for Tuesday and going out with a few friends to try their dinner service.

Our 1st time eating there & Bonnie was our server. Restaurant was nice & clean. We had the honey butter croissants & they were nice & gooey. We both had the filet which was cooked perfectly. Only feedback we have is that the steaks were not seasoned very well if at all. Homemade fries seasoned well & delicious. Bonnie was a great server very friendly & attentive. We’ll definitely go back.

Great little steak house, right off of I-20 at the Camden exit. I love their appetizer called the Surf and Turf Boat (Shrimp and Steak). Very friendly staff as well. Looking forward to eating there again soon.

Had a long day, ordered a ribeye and fries to take back to the hotel. Did not have high expectations at all, just craving steak. Order was ready when i got there, super friendly staff and best of all the steak was actually great. Perfectly cooked medium and tender!

My Husband and I tried this restaurant for the 1st time tonight, Valentines Day. We got there around 7:40pm walked right in no wait. Our waitress Bonnie was very attentive and provide excellent service. The food was absolutely delicious. We both had the ribeye steak and loaded baked potato dinner, cooked perfectly as ordered. We definitely will be back. Thank You 1786 for a Perfect V-Day Dinner. ❤️

First, I strongly support locally owned restaurants. Read my other reviews. I rarely leave a negative review, if I have a bad experience, I just don’t go back. We had reservation at 4 pm. See the pics to see that the place was basically empty, and they turned away 6 couples because “we don’t take walk ins”. We were seated at 4 pm. Ordered drinks and the spinach dip appetizer. While we were ordering, a guy put a plate of croissants on our table. I ordered a modelo and my wife ordered a wine. A few minutes later, the waitress came back and asked me to repeat my beer order. I said modelo again. And she said “ok, I got back there and thought did he say armadillo? Modelo makes more sense.” The croissants were pretty hard. Whike waited, a party of 8 was served. Three of them said their food was not cooked as ordered two steaks and a burger. I couldn’t hear whether they were overcooked or under cooked, but I did hear them say they were just going to eat them as cooked, rather than send back. Drinks arrive 4:25. Check out the pics of my wife’s $12 glass of wine. We asked about the app and she said she forgot to put it in, and asked if we still wanted it. We said no because we were not getting great vibes at this point, so we placed our order. My wife ordered the rib eye medium rare. I ordered the pork chop also medium rare. She asked for a baked potato with butter and sour cream. I asked for a baked potato loaded. Food came out at 5:05, almost an hour after we were seated. There were people at 4 tables. Including the party of 8. And we saw at least 4 waitresses at various times. My wife’s steak was medium to medium well. She sent it back. Her potato was loaded. She sent it back. My pork chop was cooked medium but I didn’t want to take a chance, so I just ate it. The pork chop only comes with one side. Her refired steak came back a 5:25. It was cooked properly. When we got our bill we were charged $10 for the hard croissants that we did not order. Since the waitress was at the table taking our order when the croissants were delivered, it should have been obvious we did not order them. We assumed they were complimentary bread before our meal. They did take them off our bill. This is a steakhouse by name. They had one steak on the menu. The rib eye. I know they just opened a few weeks ago, but this was amateur hour. We will give them another chance in a few months. Ps. I really really want these guys to succeed. This is local people and local money, and that is exactly what I want for those community. It just has to get better

We went to 1786 Steakhouse on a Saturday evening around 5:30 PM and were seated immediately. We both ordered the ribeye with a salad, mine with French fries and my wife’s with a sweet potato, and both steaks cooked medium rare were absolutely perfect with a great crust. The salads were very good, and I especially appreciated that they make their own croutons instead of using store bought ones that are usually too hard. My only minor gripe was that the fries were a bit soggy, like they had been sitting out for a while, but overall we had a great experience and will definitely be coming back.
