I was a guest of the hotel and went to Pronto for breakfast with my husband. I ordered the bagel, which, according to the menu, came with lemon whipped cream. I thought that was very interesting and different and went with that to try it out. When they served it, it came with two little pots of regular Philadelphia cream cheese. I asked about the lemon whipped cream and the server said it only came with the pancakes. I pointed out that the menu said the bagel came with it and that I would have ordered something else if I knew it was regular cream cheese. She simply said: “Yeah, well, I am sorry, have a nice day.” No apologies, no offer to bring me something else, no effort in trying to remedy the situation. I felt tricked. I ordered one thing and got something else. To add a cherry on top, the bagel was not toasted, but microwaved! My husband ordered the eggs benedict and the eggs were overcooked (no runny yolk, as it’s normally expected). The potatoes tasted good, but a bit greasy. Overall I found the service subpar, the food underwhelming, and the atmosphere average. Not going back.

I wanted to love pronto. It’s walking distance from my house and I was so excited to have a new coffee shop/quick place to grab a bite. We came when they first opened and the coffee quality and service was just not there. We came back in March to give them another try. First off, the prices are absolutely outrageous. I live in Scottsdale and dine all over here and phoenix. It’s fine if the quality is there but they serving low quality food but asking 5 star pricing. Everything comes out of a package and nothing is organic. They are using low quality ingredients. $7 for a basic cookie? $12 for a smoothie with dole pineapple juice?! They need to do a major overhaul of this place. It was also busy and service was slow. Will not be back unless things change.

Stayed at the Ceaser Republic here in Scottsdale and ate at the Pronto EVERY morning. The food was superb! I tried the Ham Cornetti and the pancakes. The pancakes were some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Anna & Lindsay were great and they had such a positive attitude! Can’t wait to visit again just so I can come back!

Expected much more for the amount of money they charge. It’s an OK place to have breakfast in the hotel, but food is nothing special, not very flavorful, and they were out of sausages for American breakfast. We asked for muffins to be warmed up and they were cold inside.

The service is very slow and the food quality is not the best, prices are not according with the quality, I expected more from this place. In general this place don’t go with the luxury, quality and costumer service of the rest of the Caesar Republic Hotel by Hilton.

This quick Italian eatery is super cute. It’s located in the back of lobby of the Caesars Republic hotel. The only qualm is that I found it to be too expensive for the type of food offered as well as their coffee using alternative milk. Unfortunately, for this reason, it’s impractical to visit often.

So let’s start with the good news.
This is a beautiful restaurant. The ambience is wonderful, the cutlery and glass, lighting and seating, decorations and color is definitely upscale. ( Though wayyyy too noisy)
The pasta is freshly made.
Their wine choices excellent.
Now let’s really begin.
As an Italian who recently came back from Florence Italy and have a Mom who can cook sauce like a champion…I know red sauce.
I can tell you that their sauce is nothing to write home about. Too sweet for a red sauce…. It also didn’t feel as if the sauce was made with fresh tomatoes….and it was not impressive at all. To be totally honest. It almost tasted like it came from a jar.
Service was subpar, waited 30 minutes to even get a drink. Never came back for water, took forever to get the meals. But this is a newly opened restaurant so I tend to overlook such things.
The antipasti was a wonderful mixture of cheeses and meats but the idea that anyone thinks that they can charge $61 for an antipasti without holding a gun to my head is certainly baffling.
In fact the prices here we’re absolutely ridiculous on everything. This is Scottsdale not Manhattan.
I don’t mind spending money for good fresh high quality food but when I am buying a drink that is $4 cheaper in New York City at Tavern on the Green, or I am eating a small loaf of focaccia bread for more money then a full meal at some restaurants, or I am being charged $8 for a single espresso…. Then this is just not for me.
I am sure the people in Scottsdale will jump at the opportunity to spend $45 for a plate of pasta that cost about $4 to make.
I am sure the people in Scottsdale will jump at buying a cocktail that is more expensive overlooking a parking lot then from the 100th story of the New World Trade Center in New York City.
And I am sure people in Scottsdale will jump at the opportunity to have some prosciutto that costs more money then my tickets to the Uffizi, the Duomo, and the Medici chapel combined.
Maybe I’m just a guy from New York City… Moving to Florence Italy someday … But there is no way that meal was worth it.
Giada I love you… Beautiful, smart, wonderful woman. But lower your prices….and get a better red sauce made.
