I rarely do reviews, so it’s my pleasure and joy to give Joe’s Pizzeria 5 stars. We specifically chose a basic cheese only pizza. Perfect crust both crispy, tender. Flavorful and just the right amount sauce and cheese!! Lincoln, you have a hidden gem with an unassuming storefront. Thank you Guisseppe for giving me your new menu… we’ll be back!!

An unassuming basic building which hides a great surprise. Very basic decor however the aroma of pizza draws you inside. Met the owner who has been making pizzas for 50+ years and believes in using quailty ingredients. Placed our order and as talking with him he invited us to take a fee photos. The end result was a very good pizza. Can’t wait to go back and try another version. Delicious

We’d heard “Joe’s” was good so decided to stop on our way through Lincoln, and we’re really glad we did. The pizza was great, Joe is fantastic, and the atmosphere, while low-key, turned out to be perfect for the occasion.

You know those stories about the little pizzerias in NYC where they treat you like family in a storefront dining room that looks like it’s straight out of the 1970s? Well, that’s Joe’s, and it’s perfect.

Joe greeted us when we came in, and his Italian accent (well, that and the aroma of his kitchen) instantly told us we were in the right place. He asked where we were from and if we’d been in before. When we told him we were just passing through, he assured us we were about to have the best pizza we’ve ever had and provided a menu for us to select from.

We ordered “Joe’s Special,” which is basically a supreme pizza. While Joe made it, we sat in the small dining area and listened to him carrying on a conversation in Italian. The pizza arrived a reasonable time later, maybe 15 to 20 minutes at the most. It was piping hot and smelled divine. We had to let it cool down a few minutes before we could eat it, but we couldn’t help but nibble around at the edges in the meantime.

The ingredients seemed fresh, high quality, and well-proportioned. There was just the right amount of cheese, melted to perfection and easily bitten without dragging the rest of it off the whole piece. The pizza was square-cut, which to me somehow adds to the social aspect of eating it.

I’ve never been one who eats pizza just for the crust, but Joe’s crust was something special. I know from experience it’s not easy to get that combination of crispy yet tender pizza crust, especially with those flavorful hints of char here and there. I’ve had some good pizzas in my time, but Joe’s crust stands alone in my memory as the best I’ve ever had.

As all good things, the pizza came to an end and it was time to go. Joe checked in to make sure we’d liked it, and we assured him it was amazing, which it absolutely was.

We’re not through Lincoln that often these days, but I’m already looking forward to our next stop at Joe’s!

New in town and just placed our FIRST order to Joe’s Pizza. I think I talked to the owner because I heard someone refer to him as Joe. A charming man. My husband prefers Meat Lovers and I prefer Vegetarian. I had to take a photo of it before we ate because it smelled so good that I wasn’t sure enough would be left once we started eating. Please excuse picnic fare but moving truck will not arrive until after Christmas.

The crust is traditional from scratch and OUTSTANDING! Not cardboard tasting like you get from some places! Usually I do not like crust but this was a real Treasure in my book!

The spices were perfect in the sauce and the sauce did not overpower the vegetables.

IF you enjoy pizza that has FLAVOR throughout, then you will also appreciate eating Joe’s Pizza!

When I placed our order, I was told we would have it in 25 minutes. I set my phone timer and it went off when the driver left! I APPRECIATE TIMELY SERVICE!

They do not accept plastic. Thought I would let you know that.

We have eaten many pizzas in our 45 years of marriage but no crust compares to this. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GIVE JOE’s PIZZA A TRY. I know this is the first but NOT THE LAST that we order from Joe!

I ordered a small pizza with one meat topping…my quoted price was $15…for a very small pizza…I handed the delivery child a $20 bill and he never offered me any change… beyond that, I had to FINISH COOKING my pizza because the dough was extremely under cooked…I have order very faithfully from Joe’s for a very long time … it’s always been my favorite… despite the high prices.. I can promise that from this moment on, I will NEVER EVER drop a dime there….EVER

While I can’t speak as to the atmosphere since we chose delivery, the service was very friendly! Our delivery driver was by far the most outgoing I’ve ever experienced. We are staying at a hotel from out of town and got in late from the state fair. Ordering was quick and easy as was the delivery. They do not accept cards as many other small family places don’t. The pizza crust was thin and chewy just the way it should be. There were plenty of toppings on our pizza as well. Maybe too many as the crust is thin and could not hold everything up. The sauce is very thin (almost wattery) but a bit bland. We got the cheesy bread as well which was also bland. The ravioli was pretty disappointing as the meatballs tasted like your run of the mill frozen packaged brands in any old store as did the pasta. In a pinch I’d order again but, it wouldn’t be my first choice.

I love this place! It’s just like the old school pizza joints from my childhood where a guy works every night to make great pizza! It’s not fancy it’s just good! The pizza is top notch and so are the ravioli and homemade marinara with garlic bread! Joe is a basically a one man show with some help! Every time I go I feel like this place should be busier! Enjoy!
