The food is mediocre, at best. Have eaten here 2 times and dont plan to return. Service is awful, slow and disorganized. Each time an item was forgotten. Worst of all, dishes are not served to guests at the same time. 2 got theirs, 10 minutes later, 2 more, etc. Most dishes were not hot, just warm. Overall very substandard. I don’t recommend this restaurant. An additional caveat: with so few patrons, how fresh are the ingredients? If you want good Italian food, go to Palermo’s.

What can I say about Candela’s. This is a wonderful restaurant with family friendly staff and great food. I had the seafood Alfredo and my wife had a pepperoni pizza. Both we super fresh and great tasting. The portion size was enough to take some home and the amount of seafood inside dish was plentiful. The quick response to our orders was fast. We Sat, Ate and paid our check all less than an hour… We did go slightly before the dinner crowd, but the service was pretty quick. I highly recommend Candela’s on Robious road…

The Pinoy & the Pisan are back, checking out Candela’s on Midlothian Turnpike at the suggestion of Mark Goad, with The Good Life RVA!
This place is super cute & MADE for big parties! Just in the area we are sitting in, there are booths made to seat parties of 4 & 6 people. Tables for 2, 6, & 10, and a party room right next to the front door!
We ordered toasted ravioli for an appetizer and it was GOOD! And there was virtually NO time from kitchen to table, as evidenced by the steaming hot marinara & food. SO good!
With my wife’s lasagna, a salad was included. We chose the Caesar dressing, and it was a nice bed of crisp iceberg lettuce with thick slices of cucumber & tomato. We enjoyed it. She really liked the dressing. It’s more mustard-y than any Caesar that I’ve ever had, but it was good!
The service was a team approach and attentive. My tea did not fully empty before I was asked if I wanted more.
The lasagna my wife ordered was large and hearty.
I ordered a personal pizza (10”) with pepperoni, sausage, & black olives. It was nice, the meat was spiced well, & the crust was very good!
We enjoyed it! We’ll be back!

ordered pizza and went to pick it up. the staff ignored me completely for 20 minutes until I had to shout to get their attention in the back. they came out and grabbed a cold, soggy pizza from the top of the oven and gave it to me.

My job held our store meeting there and I ordered mini pizza my first 2 slices were good but then when I tried to eat a third slice the bottom of the pizza was burnt and the bread of the slice were tuff so I didn’t eat the rest of my slices or take them home which I was at first. I was told to stop by for good pizza while in town. Met the owner Rocco. I ordered a small pie (6 slices) extra cheese and half sausage. A good and tasty combination. Saw some good looking menu suggestions as well. Will try when I’m in town again. Nice addition to Midlothian.

Leadership on duty tonight (Sunday, 3/30) was outstanding—attentive, responsive, intelligently navigated conversations with customers, and a major asset. They could confidently run service at any top-tier establishment!
