Have eaten here on several occasions. The food is good and they are very consistent, I always get a very fresh looking and tasting meal.
I have received fortune cookies usually when the order is large, on single small orders I have not had fortune cookies.
Which is fine, just wanted to point that out.
They are quick, they accept cards and everything looks clean. You can see inside the kitchen from the counter and it all seems organized and sanitized.
Their only down side is that they have a relatively small fridge and often they are out of some drinks or they are hot because they were recently placed.
Will continue eating at Pekin.

Super good. Good service. Always nice. But haven’t been open in weeks. There’s been a sign on the door for 3 weeks or maybe more that says 8/8/23 to 8/8/15. Idk what that means, I was there before the 23rd of July and it was closed. And then says closed for vacation. I hope they open back up soon because they are good but have tried to go many times and the sign is still up and a few months ago had to same thing. Very confusing as it says open online and the phone still rings and voicemail said open with the hours so have drove there for nothing.

Peking House serves a lot of good food. Get the girl behind the counter to smile, she has a sweet smile. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed our supper meals. We ate at the restaurant which was pretty warm inside. But the foods worth it.

Ordered vegetable fried rice, sweet n sour chicken and boneless bbq ribs.
Rice and chicken was pretty good, but the sauce sweet n sour was too runny and didn’t taste good, to sour. Bbq ribs good but for small 9.00 that is way to expensive . Location was hard to find, but it was also night time.

Far from the center of New Orleans sits this tiny restaurant on the corner of a dated strip mall. There’s not much charming on the inside, but most people come here purely for take-out.
As far as Chinese restaurants go, this place is worth getting food from if you happen to be in the area.
The ingredients are fresh and it’s nice to support a small family operation. With reasonably priced lunch specials and lots of meat and vegetarian options, I often find myself stopping here for a quick bite while running errands in the area.

They have have new owners. The food is not the same , save your funds and please go some where else . the honey chicken had no neat just breading even the quality of rice as different. for $11 and some change it was horrible.

It used to be good. Mannnn, I should have known better once I seen new management and I seen the microwave in the kitchen. Chinese restaurants NEVER use microwaves. It was the dead flies for me and the disclaimer about if the food is nasty, bring it back the same day lol. Mannnn, I should have known better.

Well…everything was over cooked. Wings were like jerky. Coconut shrimp doesn’t have a hint of coconut anything. It’s fried shrimp with mayonnaise. The bourbon “chicken” was anything but that. Worst Chinese I ever had.

Spoiled food alert . I ordered here a lot in the past their food quality has dropped tremendously. Of course I couldn’t get any compensation for the spoiled bourbon chicken so I’ll just say I’m not eating here anymore
