The Owner even came over to chat and she visited many tables to chat with many frequent regulars.
Note: very small and constantly busy. It’s hard to get a seat! May have to wait or settle for bar or counter seating by the door. Hard to fault them on this when they are so successful its constantly full!
Will definitely return and order other noodle and curry items on the menu to perhaps upgrade to my very rarely given 5 stars.
The food here is excellent and the staff is genuinely friendly. The young man who served us was polite and attentive, and the owner came by to check in, which made the experience feel personal. Even when I missed a call, they returned it right away, which shows real professionalism.
I’ve eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants, especially in Madison Heights, Michigan, where there are more than eight to ten places to choose from. I’ve also tried several restaurants here in Charleston. The flavor here is very good, but I have to point out that the pricing feels high. Twenty dollars for a pho is more than what I’ve paid at other Vietnamese spots, even in areas with a lot of competition.
The food and service are strong enough that I still give it five stars, but I do think the pricing could be a bit more reasonable. Overall, it’s a great place with kind people and a warm atmosphere.
Came to eat inside for dinner. Tried the rare CHS offering of Bun Rieu Deeper savory broth than Phuong’s lighter broth take. Plenty of large moist real-crabmeat balls. Small intimate seating area but Mrs. Tee hopes to expand to patio or even past that one day Servers are still in training, so give them grace. Mrs. Tee is really open to feedback. Given that everyone has different tastebuds, if there’s a tip that you have about an offering that can boost menu sales or accommodate the general palette, she’ll be all ears. She let us know that she cuts items that don’t sell in 3 months Soooo if you have a favorite dish, make it known!!! Loved the large tall noodle soup to-go containers!! It means you get a good amount compared to dine-in bowls
Very cute and wide selection of alcoholic+non-alcoholic drinks

Initial visit:
Was craving some snacking food so tried out a few appetizers to-go. FYI: the vietnamese fried rice wrapper roll is not spicy. The orange color is just from the rice wrapper’s dye. Reheats awesome in the microwave for a chewy texture. Different texture experience than Phuong’s and Pho No. 1’s vietnamese fried rice wrapper rolls, which have a more flaky/crunchy exterior. Krab rangoon filling was fresh/smooth and right ratio of components to cream cheese. Not dried out filling nor overpowered by cream cheese to othe ingredients. Large wings, not the puny ones. Slightly firm soft fried tofu. Not spongy dried out tofu. Loved the large to-go containers.
Many of the signature dishes are just $11 for lunch compared to $16 at dinner — a great value for the quality. My only small gripe is that there’s an extra charge for paying with a credit card. I understand that credit card fees can be frustrating for small businesses, but as a customer who rarely carries cash, it does take a bit of the shine off an otherwise great dining experience, especially when most restaurants have moved away from this practice.
