Stopped in for a late lunch before the St. Patty’s parade and was glad I did. I had the local staple Olive Burger with a side of onion rings. While I typically prefer battered onion rings, these were still enjoyable. The Olive Burger was solid, and I especially liked the ciabatta bun they use. The server thought they might bake the buns in-house but wasn’t completely sure. She did mention that they make almost everything there, which is always a plus.
Service was attentive and friendly, and I liked the log cabin vibe throughout the restaurant. I also noticed the Fish & Chips coming out of the kitchen and they looked great, so I’ll be trying those on my next visit.
Overall, a good experience with a cozy atmosphere and quality food. Looking forward to coming back!

The food was ok. I ordered the fry basket with a side of mayo. The side of mayo lasted for a little less than half the basket. It’s too bad I couldn’t get more mayo even though I asked. The drinks were reasonably priced.
I felt like the bartender was bothered by our presence, constantly looking over at us even though we were seated farthest from the bar, along the wall with the tv. We also could not hear the tv, so that was a huge bummer.
The waitress was great, even though she brought us a cup of water and sugar when we asked for lemonade, she made it right by getting us a replacement drink.
Other than that, I would rather spend my money at the bigger chains and avoid all of these issues.

Overall, great basic restaurant with simple food items that they do well. Has a back room for parties/events. It has an interior that is wooden and kind of 70s like look. Booths and tables. I had the two piece fish fry and it was very good, not too greasy. The fries were crisp and coleslaw was good.
I give a four because I asked for a water but never got one.

I have been in the service industry i know things get busy and service isn’t always consistent. Tonight was by far the most uncomfortable i have ever been at this establishment ever. Our waitress checked on us maybe 4 times we had to try to get her attention to get service. We were never rude but we some how got eye rolls. I am one to tip because I have been there. I also had another server that was taking food to her table and she ran into the back of me never saying sorry. I had another server follow me into the bathroom to stalk me trying ease drop thinking we were talking about them. When we just went the bathroom to use the bathroom. We have been to log jam numerous times and have never had this issue. I bring business to here because it use to be a welcoming place but the new wait staff is not very welcoming. I am not sure if I can return back to this establishment with the disrespect I got to night. I hope the business well but my company and I will not be returning. CHECK #0224

Had the most pleasant experience here at Log Jam! We had just finished hiking 4 hours @Fitzgerald park and we’re starving. We came in about 15 minutes after it opened and there was a homey feeling radiating from the restaurant. There were already patrons seated at the bar and at a few tables so it seemed like a pretty busy establishment. We were promptly served and our waitress was very attentive to our needs.
The food was FANTASTIC and plentiful I was shocked that we got so much food for what we paid for! The fries are to die for, they’re golden, thick, crispy, and just melt in your mouth and the house made ranch was so flavorful and creamy!
If I didn’t live two hours away from here I would be here all the time!

Haven’t been to the Log Jam in a few years, but will definitely be back! The olive burger was super good and my son’s miny tacos were perfect for him. I remember coming to this place with my grandparents when I was a kid, glad to be bringing my own son now.

Bar food. The extra star was for the service. My friend had a huge cheeseburger and fries and I had the fried cod fish. The coleslaw was fresh but bland. The French fries were very crispy and were my favorite part of the meal. They have large servings so go hungry.

Pleasant bar atmosphere.
Music was a lil loud to have conversation under during the dinner hours.
The fish & fries are good for being in the mitten. The only other place I eat fish is in the U.P. Oddly enough, the Rangoons actually have Crab in them! They were like they used to be made in most chinese restaurants around the Lansing area. Delicious! Bonus…No sugar added to the cream cheese. For some crazy reason most chinese restaurants took the crab out and thought adding sugar was a good idea. Yuk!!
