Reviews
Update: Tried the pizza. Not their best but won’t change my review. Everything else is always amazing!
Overall there is not many options on this side of town. Great to have one that’s this good. Will go again and order something new. Hopefully better than tacos but just as good as burgers. Enjoy.
The first thing I noticed was that there was a large outdoor seating area which was covered. We went through that area to enter the main building and were very impressed by the spaciousness and brightness and cleanliness of the main area. It was large and covered with wide screen TVs. I guess that comes in handy for a sports bar. One of the TVs was advertising the live music they have every weekend , I think starting at 7:00 PM. We were greeted as we came in and were led to a booth. Our server came and asked what we would like to drink. She gave us the menus and we looked through them as we waited for her return. We noticed that the special on Friday was a Fish Fry that included Coleslaw and Fries. We both decided on that. I also ordered a side of roasted corn, just to try it out.
The food arrived after a short wait and it was delicious. The Cod was crisply covered by a thin batter that was not oily. We got 3 good size pieces of Cod with a lemon wedge and a very unique-tasting tartar sauce, By ‘unique’ I mean memorable in a GOOD WAY. I’d take a gallon of that any day. The Fries were fries. I had to order the Curly fries with their seasoning. It was good. I also ordered the roasted corn, which was good but not wirht $4.99. I will try something else next time.
Overall we were delighted with the Service from Brittany and the food and the whole experience. We would definitely go back and try another section of their extensive menu. BTW, while there is plenty of parking, the spaces are tight and depending on the time of day, there can be quite a bit of traffic on Sandhill Blvd, so be patient. It’s a good place with friendly staff and good food. Go and check them out, they have 2 thumbs up from us!
After seated, no one waited on us 10+ mins. We’d changed tables to sit closer to multiple TVs showing football, maybe that delayed things….BUT still it took time for service…. even after husband returned from restroom (he walks slow).
Brittany served us: EXCELLENT—fast, attentive, caring, friendly, Smiling thru the Rush!
We wanted Pub Kielbasa Subs but learned after ordering they were OUT. Menu gave no notice—frustrating.
Brittany sincerely apologized, so we ordered nachos w/ grilled chicken.
REGRETTABLY, huge disappointment.
Chips thin+BRITTLE, breaking under even light toppings. Found maybe 2 slivers of real cheese, rest of it RUNNY cheese sauce like soup!
In yrs of dining, worst nachos ever!
my hands: sticky w/ GOOEY mess—had 2 wash before touching wallet or drink.
Few veggies, just diced tomatoes + jalapeños, no lettuce.
They served TINY 2‑oz. salsa cup for the mound of chips. Chicken: ok portion, but salsa far TOO small til we asked Brittany…who kindly brought larger serving, about 3x’s size—should’ve come that way 1st round!
Brittany went above+beyond, tho Food•fail.
Nachos looked nothing like their menu image—more like cheese soup over brittle chips.
No manager visible despite full house; someone should’ve been walking the floor/ making the rounds.
Told Brittany twice nachos POOR, but no relief.
i didn’t press; we were short on time heading 2 Arcadia for appt + work.
we ate all, since starving after skipping b‑fast, but still REGRETTED stopping here.
Normally, this Beef’s a great pit-stop we’ve Loved, but this visit changed that.
NEVER ordering nachos again; maybe pizza next time tho reviews on that are poor also.
Nearby guest ordered chili—his was topped w/ Loads of *shredded cheese*! however…..not melted!
& typically restaurants will normally broil that chili’ cheese for melted appearance, reflecting moreso that the kitchen was off its *game*.
this all Pointed to lack of Mgt. oversight.
Should’ve checked that location’s reviews—that would’ve warned us!
Food quality poor vs past Beef’s standards.
Brittany earned 5 STARS—upbeat, friendly, professional, **beautiful Smile** even thru the craziness of the NFL Week#15 Sunday games.
Atmosphere fine for football BUT noise level too High—
Interior NEEDS sound buffers or noise-cancellation panels.
OK 4 casual lunch or game,
but do NOT recommend for *SPECIAL occasions* due to loudness + poor food.
Add’l Notes:
– Mgmt should be visible during peak hrs. to oversee flow, efficiency + guests’ satisfaction.
– Staff all friendly, all busy, but closer attention to their appearances would add polish + assist diners’ confidence in cleanliness—(NOT speaking of Brittany; she was perfect: right on target ).
– Table+restroom were clean.
– Parking DIFFICULT due 2 football crowd.
– MULTIPLE TVs Excellent for sports viewing!!!
– Brittany: 5‑Star Service
– Food: 1‑Star
If this location doesn’t tighten up, this Beef’s could follow our Englewood Beef’s, which CLOSED after poor leadership + staff goofing off!!
Punta Gorda Beef’s NOT that bad yet, but reminded us of ours, due to same lack of oversight + care.
We may NOT be wealthy, but as longtime diners + myself a home cook w/ past restaurants’ food‑service experience, we do know Quality.
Beef’s once was reliable, but this visit was concerning.
Maybe sign of times?
less Care in *Quality*. mother always said,
✨“You should be proud enough to sign your name to your work!”✨
Sadly, that spirit didn’t shine here
