We were in town visiting a local pastor, and he and his wife took us to eat here. The service, food, atmosphere were all top notch. Really enjoyed the queso. The rice and beans were super good. We are from Texas and weren’t too sure how the Tex-Mex food would be here, but we were very impressed.

The food was terrible. We got a quesadilla lunch and a chicken fried steak lunch. The chicken-fried steak was barely a 1/4th of an inch thick, and could fit in the palm of your hand. The gravy was watery, flavorless, and overall gross. The quesadilla couldn’t have been done more poorly. And you have to ask for beans because it only comes with rice. The best part of the meal was a small side salad. The food was bland, and not worth the price. The only saving-grace for this place was the service. The servers were very friendly and they brought out our food promptly. If you are looking for smiles and less-then-adequate food, then this place is perfect. Otherwise, it’s better to eat at home.

Catrina’s was recommended to me by a local, and I was happy for it.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and my drink order was taken. Chips were delivered to my table immediately.
The chicken fajitas sounded great that day, and when delivered, were fantastic. The meat was cooked perfectly, blackened but not crispy, and the vegetables still had plenty of great flavor.
I’m also a fan of avocado and guacamole in general, and theirs, with the lettuce and pico, tasted fresh-made.
Overall, a fantastic experience in a good atmosphere.

Such a cute place! Food is authentic and service was very friendly and prompt! We got tres leche and churros for dessert and they were AMAZING. The churros were warm and crunchy with gooey warm cream cheese and the tres leche was so flavorful and rich! Must try!

I would have given a better review but I dislike thieves. I witness the owner steal tips from her other server to give to the one I believe was her daughter. Then they walk off giggling. People work hard for those tips and stealing from your own employees is unacceptable. I will not be condoning my business with Catrinas restauran!
