It’s a great place to visit with family and friends.
That said, the pizza is consistently delicious and the drinks are great. The biggest highlight by far is the service—Tony is incredible. He greets everyone with a huge smile, supports his team nonstop, and makes every guest feel welcome. You can really tell how much experience and care he brings.
This place has so much potential, and I’m excited to keep supporting them as they continue to grow.
food was good and the drinks were interestingly nice.
Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and clearly trying to accommodate us, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food did not match the level of service. We ordered a Margherita pizza—the crust was nice, but the sauce tasted like a commercial sauce and there was barely any cheese on the pizza, making it feel low quality and overpriced.
We also ordered meatballs as an appetizer. The dish consisted of only three very small pieces of meatball served in what appeared to be Rao’s commercial tomato sauce. When we cut into them, they were unevenly cooked and completely raw in the middle. It was obvious they were frozen and inadequately prepared. We informed our waiter, who took them back and asked the kitchen to prepare another order properly.
After waiting an additional 20 minutes, the manager brought out the replacement and was apologetic, but unfortunately the second serving had the same issue—raw in the center. At that point, we informed the manager and asked for the check. He offered to remove the meatballs from the bill and even offered not to charge us at all, but we declined and paid for the food we had ordered. The manager insisted several times on taking our email to send us a voucher for a future visit. I eventually agreed, but I never received any email or voucher.
Additionally, the booth seating we were placed in was very uncomfortable and poorly designed, which further affected the experience.
Our expectations were not particularly high, but the quality still fell short. We truly wanted to support this new local restaurant and hope they improve their food quality and execution. With better consistency and attention to detail, we hope they can succeed in the future.
Was really looking forward to the hangar steak but was left unsatisfied, Salt Breaker in Alameda puts this place to shame and its exponentially better value.
2 small little drinks, 1 app, 1 hangar steak, 1 pepperoni pizza and it was $118? Would personally not come back even if I wasn’t paying.
