Simplicity. Often searched for, rarely found. Hugh-Baby’s BBQ & Burger Shop throws back to a time when things were as simple as they could be. A time when even the smallest things were well-made with deliberate attention and care. When, just because something was to be simply enjoyed, you didn’t throw craftsmanship and dedication out the window. We’ve brought back that same integrity to our menu with an obvious attention to detail. We illustrate this daily by grinding our own beef for our burgers, following time-honored Memphis barbecue, and hand-spun milkshakes. Then we’ve combined these signature items with a small, straightforward menu that gives our guests more time to enjoy all the effort that goes into our food.

Absolutely loved Hugh-Baby’s Pulled Pork Sandwich! We stopped in our food tour of East Nashville with Secret Food Tours. Fantastic little food hall! Loved that they took us to Hugh Baby’s particularly for the Pulled Pork Sandwich. It was fantastic – perfectly sauced, coleslaw was perfectly tangy, and the combo of the two was incredible. Loved the vibe of the restaurant, too! We have a group of 12 and we easily found seating. Perfect for a larger group or a family outing!

We stopped in for a Pulled Pork sandwich on the Secret Food Tour and just fell in love with the BBQ and particularly the BBQ Sauce that they use. It was a really unique and flavorful sauce. I would definitely recommend giving them a try and would come back when in the area.

Ordered a chili cheese dog. it looked like sloppy joe on top of a hot dog with an american slice of cheese(not melted) just slapped onto my hot dog. The fries were good but the portion wasn’t worth it. although, the fries may be the best thing to get on the menu. if you’re hungry don’t waste your time coming here especially being pregnant you’ll regret it. the portions are small the chicken burger gave “chicken slider” smh. another thing is the lady who was taking orders was too busy stuffing her mouth while someone else in front of me was trying to order. if you’re gonna eat on the clock atleast go to the back. Don’t eat in front of customers

They always make the food fresh. Love Hugh Baby’s! Park in one of their spots and remember your tag number. When you get inside, scan the QR code by the pickup window for free parking. We didn’t know this until we went in.

Horrific customer service. Walked in and was not greeted for several minutes and then greeted be someone who couldn’t be bothered. No eye contact. Just pointing and head shaking when we asked for a hot dog which meant they were out of hotdogs. Thankfully the burgers are decent because this place is really off the rails otherwise.

I love this place. I’ve been to one of the other ones and it was a bit different. The staff was super friendly. The service was excellent. It was clean and the food was good except for one small thing. The fries we got were not very good. Not because of taste but because of the size. Our order of fires must have been at the last of the batch. Every fry was maybe 1/4 long. I promise. It was kind of sad. I should have taken a picture but I didn’t. But…I still like Hugh Baby’s.

Really good food always fresh always from scratch love the lemonade love the fries service is okay sometimes can be really good sometimes can be kind of not caring as far as interaction with the customer. I’ve gone here a few times and his latest time I tried to order and everyone was looking at me and no one came to take my order therefore their rating has dropped with me.

I had decent hopes for this place as I’m visiting the city for a couple of days, and it was one of the first ones to pop up. I ordered delivery so I can’t attest to customer service or the actual location space or staffing. I ordered the chili fries (emphasis on the chili) and a chicken burger. Price wise the food was accurately priced. Taste wise left a lot to be desired and I felt like I was eating a lot of grease. I ordered additional condiments that didn’t come with the order as well. I would likely not come here again.

Just had my first cheeseburger from this place (East Nashville Location) and OMG was it amazing. It was that perfect greasy cheeseburger. The flavor was so good I am just in awe of it now.
Edit 3/6/21 I have already been back 3 more times and they keep getting better and better. Hands down the best cheeseburger I have ever had.
