This was the BEST dining experience I’ve ever had. The coursed menu was creative and delicious. We sat at the chef’s table and watched our courses being created in real time, which was incredible. The service was also spectacular! Each server was very knowledgeable and never missed a beat. They anticipated our every need and lead the way through this unique coursed menu. The bar manager and sommelier on staff, Marco, was very creative with our cocktails and fully educated us on the wine selection, which complemented the food perfectly. The whole staff down to the Administrative Director, Natalie, made our first anniversary one for the memory books. Thank you all for such a wonderful night. We will never forget it!!

Living in New Orleans dining is part of our culture. I was visiting Oklahoma and looking around for an amazing dining experience in OKC. I came across Grey Sweater. It had all of the things I was looking for: James Beard Award Winning Chef, 10 course tasting menu with wine pairing, beautiful atmosphere, and a submersible experience with personal service! IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! They called a few days ahead of our reservation to get a more personal feel for our adventure and any dietary restrictions. My son made the Deans List and I wanted to bring him to a special elevated dining experience as a reward! The staff hand signed a card for him and had it waiting at our seats at the bar! So special! Our server was very knowledgeable about every detail of our water, wine, and dishes! The open kitchen and getting to watch the chefs work added to the experience! The host and bartender were absolutely amazing as well! Everyone was very welcoming and came to us to ask the flavors we desired so he could hand craft each of us a cocktail we would enjoy! We loved every second of our 4 hour dinner and would absolutely recommend a stop in for a special occasion. It’s a treat! Thank you to all of the staff that made our experience phenomenal! Keep up the great work!

This would definitely be a michelin restaurant if they came into OKC. Being from Houston and multiple michelin restaurants around the world and with service and quality of dishes this is definitely up there. Love how the drinks are catered to the flavor palette vs stock and pacing is great. Would definitely recommend if in OKC for any reason.

We were really looking forward to this experience, especially hoping to see Chef Black in action—that was actually the main reason we chose this spot. Unfortunately, he wasn’t there during our visit, which was a letdown since we were excited to meet him and try his personal creations.
That said, the food itself was enjoyable—well-prepared and tasty—but I was hoping for something a bit more creative and diverse. We had the 7-course meal, and while beautifully presented, it didn’t feel particularly filling or as adventurous as other chef’s tables I’ve experienced. For those new to this kind of dining, it’s definitely a fun and luxurious introduction. But for seasoned diners who crave bold, diverse flavors, it might not fully meet expectations.
What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Rusty, Michael, and I think the Chef name might have been Adam, not entirely sure, however, they were pretty awesome! They were incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the experience fun from start to finish. The chefs behind the counter were talented and put on a great show, and the restaurant itself is spotless, elegant, and clearly high-end.

From start to finish everything was amazing! Party of 2. Selected the 10 course meal without the wine pairing. We did select wines by the glass to pair with our food throughout the experience.
Chatting with the Ambassador is a nice touch especially as someone with a few dietary restrictions and preferences.
Sitting at the chef’s counter also added a special touch. Would definitely recommend over table seating.
Highly recommend for that special occasion or celebration!

It was a great dinner and experience!! Michael the manager was there to greet us and take us to our seats. Then it begins, 10 courses of amazing food. My daughter had the wine pairing so for every course there was a different wine to compliment that course which she said was excellent. Rusty was our server and he knew every detail of wine and each course and was great at explaining the details of our menu. He was a pleasure as well as everybody there, they all work together as a great team. If you ever thought of going and was not sure, just do it, you will not be disappointed!!!!

The best way to describe They Grey Sweater is “Quiet Deliberation.”
This was our 2nd time to enjoy the delightful experience offered here. When you sign up for this kind of experience, you really need to decide to eat whatever they put in front of you, in whatever way it is prepared. If you leave your food inhibitions at home and are willing to just be open to new presentations, flavors, temperatures, and textures, then you will be treated to the true joy and creativity of fine dining. OKC is truly blessed to have Chef Black and crew here!
This place is the opposite of Gordon Ramsey’s Hell’s Kitchen. No one screams or swears (not that I have an issue with swearing, it’s just not that kind of place). The staff works quietly and deliberately. They place things on plates. They don’t just cook and slap down a rapid dinner to turn tables as happens in fast casual restaurants. The head waiter and staff literally use hand signals to communicate. They go about their work so strategically, in every sense. This matters greatly because it takes about 3 hours to eat the 10 course menu with wine pairings! Every course and wine pairing is explained. There is not one single component of any dish that is not prepared and served without enormous creativity and thoughtfulness towards flavor and texture.
This is NOT a cook to order place! If you just want a “good restaurant”, but eat well done steak, then PLEASE pass on The Grey Sweater because you will miss the whole point of the EXPERIENCE. There’s nothing wrong with wanting food cooked the way you want it, just go to a place that does it, this is NOT that place. They utilize sophisticated cooking techniques and clever plays on temperature of dishes. There are delicate pearls of suspended flavors that burst in your mouth. Some dishes are served very rare. It would be a TRAVESTY to send something back.
Is it expensive? YES. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY, IF you are a willing foodie open to new and different EXPERIENCES. This place is NOT just a restaurant, it is an EXPERIENCE. Everyone should visit at least once! We will definitely visit again and highly recommend it.

What a phenomenal experience! The food was absolutely delicious. We’ve dined at multiple Michelin-starred restaurants, yet we were incredibly impressed by the flavors and presentation cultivated at Grey Sweater. We chose the 10-course meal, which is about a 3-hour dining experience. While it’s a lengthy dinner, we are so glad we came back. Initially, we were hesitant due to some of the recent negative reviews, but we’re thrilled we decided to see for ourselves. Grey Sweater exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return for more!

Overall an amazing experience. We went to celebrate my birthday and I am very glad I chose the Grey Sweater. I have a few minor complaints but nothing that would make me not want to go back – my sommelier was rather.. sweaty.. but he was engaging and interesting and it was toasty humid so I can’t fault him for that! I did the silver (?) wine pairing and they were incredible for the courses they were selected for. To be very clear, I know nothing about wine, but even I could tell how and why one paired better than another depending on the course – of you’re splurging I highly recommend a wine pairing. Otherwise, the person I believe was Chef Black disappeared the last two courses so I was confused about if the meal was over or what was happening but he must trust his staff to handle the desserts (which they did phenomenally). We did the TASTING menu, 10 courses, and each was just a few bites, but so worth it. Don’t expect a plate full of food (this isn’t Olive Garden or some other chain…….), expect quality, decadent, not-found-elsewhere, food.

Fantastic service both food and wine host, both our host were gracious and knowledgeable in our food and wine selection. Loved the extensive French wine selection (no wine list, talk with your host about your varieties). We tried the tasting menu for my birthday, the portions were the right size for a tasting session and exudes creativity in the chef’s style with unique ingredients from around the world. Our Grey Sweater ambassador checked in multiple times before our dining reservation to cover any allergies, much appreciated! It’s a rare culinary gem for OKC with nothing like it!
