I come here ever week for their bingo night. The girls behind the bar are so sweet and personable, more than willing to give input on drinks as well. The place itself is super cute and cozy, it can definitely fill up with people but there is enough space that it doesnt get overwhelming.

Sandusky Book Bar is one of the most inviting third-place spots in the city. The building has a light tan exterior with a dark green awning, and the inside feels warm the second you walk in, dark wood floors, green walls, soft yellow lighting, and big windows that make snowy days feel peaceful. The bookshelves along the walls, flexible seating, and small displays from local creators. It’s quiet enough to relax, but still active. A staff member described it as somewhere “all walks of life can meet and do whatever.”
It’s a great place to work or just slow down. If you’re looking for a cozy, community spot in Sandusky, this is it.

We held my daughter’s graduation party at the Sandusky Book Bar this past weekend, and it was amazing! The venue was perfect! They had plenty of existing seating, so I did not have to rent tables and chairs for that! The venue offers indoor and outdoor space and we were able to set up corn hole for guests to play out on the patio. The indoor space needed minimal decoration as it is already quite beautiful. The staff was accommodating and professional. It was an amazing day. Thank you Sandusky Book Bar! ❤️

One of my favorite bars in all of Sandusky! A great place to hang out, get breakfast, sip a coffee, grab a fantastic cocktail, or play some fun trivia or bingo. Janie is an amazing owner and all of her staff is incredible. The vibe is super chill yet fun, and the atmosphere is super inviting to anyone and everyone! They also have a large selection of books to choose from and board games to play. The bagels and charcuterie boards are to die for; make sure to stop in to this local gem!

Janie and her crew are awesome! The place is very well decorated and gives a calm feeling that makes you want to be there for hours! Janie and her crew make you feel super welcome and do their jobs amazing! It is one of my favorite spots in Sandusky to go to! If you have not been there you need to go immediately!! The coffee is great, the atmosphere is great as well! All around great place with great people!

We are from out of town and love coffee! We stopped in and man do I got to say it was amazing! The vibes were great and above all they had a changing station in the MENS restroom for dads! This is huge!

We rented The Book Bar for our daughter’s baby shower and it was an amazing! Janie was great to work with and very understanding when the weather didn’t cooperate and we needed to reschedule the shower. The venue is cozy and intimate and the perfect place for guests to mingle. The staff was great very personable and helpful.

I must say the concept of this venue is kinda impressive ! Books, finger foods, and beverages- it doesn’t get any more cozy than that! Recently visited the Book Bar for the first time and I really liked it. It’s quiet, super clean, bar and table seating available, there is a ton of books to browse through, there are board games to choose from, a nice selection of coffee and adult beverages, and commendable customer service to top your experience off. It’s easy to get to and there is ample parking once you get there. I look forward to visiting the Book Bar again and I encourage you to check it out, if you haven’t done so already.

What a sweet, charming place off the beaten path. My boyfriend and I came here so that he could work, and it was the perfect, calming atmosphere he needed. There is a quiet, cool vibe, and great music that’s subtle but not overbearing. There is a lot of light but it’s not overly bright. The WiFi is fast and — most importantly! — the coffee is great. Love it.

What an awesome new place that opened at the old YMCA! We stopped in and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I love the assortment of books to choose from and the cozy seats to drink your drink and read a book. The staff was super friendly and took great care of us. We tried the coffee and it was delicious especially the “Lavender Vanilla Latte”. The bar opens on the 20th so I’ll be sure to update my review then. Make sure you stop in and read a book or play a board game or 2 while trying some of their amazing coffees!
