We stayed in Brookings South Dakota for the night, but having spent most of our lives living on the Mexican border in California and Texas we are always on the lookout for good Mexican food. My husband saw Rinconsito on line so we decided to head here for lunch before going to Pipestone National Park. So glad we did. The service was fantastic. The owner was so sweet. My husband, son, and I all ordered different things and all loved them, and she surprised us with a complimentary plate of bunuelos with chocolate drizzle and homemade whipped cream that were to die for after learning we were from out of state. My only regret is that I was too shy to practice my fading spanish with her. I think ahe would have been kind with my fumbling!

In my opinion, in the best Mexican restaurants, most of the customers are speaking Spanish, and that’s what you have here—which tells you that the Mexican food here is as authentic as it gets. And it is absolutely terrific, easily the best in the area. For five years or more, we have driven almost 100 miles round trip to eat here, and we do that almost once a month. And every time, without fail, it has been worth the trip.

Great place for Hispanic cuisine in Flandreau. The buffet is good as well as the chicken mole. More taste testing in the future.

Ordered take out. The food was hot, fresh and so delicious! I’ve been to a great deal of Mexican restaurants and their food was top notch, so flavorful! I wish we lived closer to enjoy more often. Highly recommend!
