Heartwood has the best lattes and smoothies in the area! I have been on the hunt for the perfect latte, and they have nailed it on the head- it is not too watery or sweet and has the perfect coffee/flavoring balance. The orange peach smoothie is my favorite, and I find myself craving it often. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and you can tell that they truly care that their customers are happy.

My husband had a work meeting in the area, so I needed to find a place to do some work myself while I waited for him to finish up. I love trying out local coffee spots, and this one was a total gem! From the moment I walked in, the owners were friendly, hospitable, and very helpful as I made my selection. The iced caramel macchiato was perfection, as were the apple cinnamon muffin and egg bites (the owner let me try her new recipe – coming soon so be on the lookout!). The atmosphere was also welcoming and modern, while still feeling homey and comfortable. I was able to get a lot of work done but also felt a sense of camaraderie with the owners and other cafe clientele. If you find yourself in the Milton area, I can’t recommend Heartwood Coffee enough. You’ll leave feeling like family.

Very excited to have a local coffee shop option instead of the typical franchises. I’ve been here a few times now, the staff is friendly and the coffee is consistently good. They are currently using WV roasted Cherry River coffee beans, which is another reason to give them 5 stars. So skip the chain store and pop in here where they do quality instead of quantity.

What a treat! The people were so nice & helpful. The lattes were AMAZING! I even got a small pup cup of whipped cream for my dog. And it’s the little touches-like beautiful handwriting on the side of the coffee cups—that make the difference! They have oatmilk & other milk alternatives.

I was lucky to be able to make it to this coffee shop this morning. I got a dirty chai latte, and I’m not just saying this, but it was the best I’ve ever had in the area! A lot of places make it way too sweet and just add pumps of chai flavoring, but you can tell they really put care into their craft and ingredients to make high quality drinks! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I can’t wait to go back. I am excited to try their other drinks and food when it comes out.
