Ordered the pork adobo and half portion beef lumpia for takeout. Absolutely delicious and the portions for the adobo was very generous. Definitely will return. Also for takeout orders the prices are slightly cheaper if you order online through their website instead of Uber Eats.

The owner and her family was amazing. The fried rice was great, the Kare kare was amazing. We also had the sisig, Turon and palabok. We’re so grateful for the amazing hospitality after driving so far to try it.

MANILA EXPRESS (Lawton,Ok) … FINALLY! I got a chance to zoom-zoom up to Lawton to give this new Filipino restaurant (Phillipines) a try. They’ve been open a couple months. We lived at Clark AFB when I was a grade schooler, from 1975 to 1977. We had a housegirl who cooked us a lot of different foods, and I loved them all!

First off, they were packed with a large party event when I arrived. Combat Veterans M/C were having a large dinner. So, I was a tad bit worried about service, moreso the speed. Lets just say as packed as they were, the meals were coming out in a decent time. Everything on the menu is made from scratch, per order. So you might be waiting 20-minutes on a plate, depending on what you ordered.

They do have a daily special board at the corner of the main counter, but I definitely wanted a menu. I was starting to drool ravenously while browsing the menu and reading the descriptions and ingredients. I really was getting excited to try some “old memories”.

Jose, the owner, drew the short straw and got stuck waiting on me. We went through the menu and selected a good variety. I think it was five meals, with plans to eat a little of each, get some photos, and have Filipino leftovers all weekend.

Appetizer start was definitely Lumpiang Shanghai, it’s like an eggroll/taquito in this case. Very tasty filling, different than I remember, but still delicious! My memory likes the larger Lumpia.

Meals were …

Adobe Chicken and Adobo Pork, each are accompanied with a large scoop of ric. Twice if their classic dishes, stew braised meats. These were both very delicious, can’t go wrong ordering either one. They were just as tasty rewarmed a couple days, and still just as good.

Crispy Sisig, the white dressed meal in the photos. Im not sure if it’s pan fried or deep fried, I’m leaning towards pan fried. Cubes of a savory crispy pork belly. It was really good, that plate I cleaned off while still there.

Inihaw na Liempo, is Pork Heaven on a plate!! Just have to try it, I cannot explain it. Very similar to Korean Galbi. Just try it!!

Pancit Bihon, a staple when I was a kid because of it’s similarity to Spaghetti. Very thin noodles, thinner than Spaghetti, with a mix of Pork and Vegetables. A safe bet to try for the not so brave and daring on trying different foods.

Now for the one who absolutely doesn’t want to try the new and strange there is Pinoy-style Spaghetti. It’s just regular beef sauced Spaghetti like you know, but they add Hot Dogs in it too. Really safe bet for the kids meal.

I really enjoyed all the meals that night and the Pinoy meals all week from the leftovers.

Got to meet the head cook and owner, Carol (along with husband Jose). Very nice lady and it put a big smile on her face listening to me talk about how much I loved her food and that I’ll definitely be back.

If you haven’t been by there yet, I do recommend very highly you give them a try. There was so much variety on their 5-page menu. They’re on Fort Sill Boulevard across from the cemetery and next door to Bulgogi House.

HAPPY FAT BOY FIVE STARS!! ☆☆☆☆☆

Food was very good. And it didn’t take long for it to come. My only negative was the Server only came by to take my order and drop food off. Never checked up on me to see I needed a refill on my drink. But other than that, it was good.
