I wanted sooooo bad to like this restaurant and I had really high hopes for it! I was excited to see a southern restaurant and what they had to offer! Then thinking that I would no longer have to travel to Sunday’s Eatery for Southern Food (unless I am cooking it myself). My coworkers and I first got it and we were thinking it was okay! All of us agreed but at that time, I would have rated it a 3.5. I got the catfish, macaroni & yams! Okay! I didn’t feel like cooking on a Sunday and opted to go here for my family- almost $60 later- my husband and I deemed it the WORST MEAL of the Year from a restaurant. He got the catfish (sway) with yellow rice and greens! He said the only decent thing was the greens! He spit out the yellow rice and played with the fish. I got pork hops (fried in old grease), macaroni and yams (I can confirm they are canned because the lady after me that ordered asked). My kids had wings and fries! I bit off the chops and knew immediately I wouldn’t like it but I proceeded and tried to force it down! I threw out 90% of the food! The young lady that assisted me is the reason for the 2 stars! She was pleasant. Would I eat here again- SOLID NO and I really wanted to support!
Update:8/14/22. Maybe I wrote it where it was misunderstood but my coworkers and I went in May and we didn’t think it was horrible. However, my family and I ate on 7/10 (1 month ago) and it was not good AT ALL! The dates are on the receipts included. And the food wasn’t as bad on that visit with the coworkers! I broke down what I got on each visit.

Guys, if you have not been here, go. I’m blown away they have one star reviews for wait time, we had our food hot and fresh at our table within 25 minutes. That’s what I expect from a freshly cooked meal. Our kids DEVOURED the macaroni and the fact that the owner has endured being a triple amputee and running this is absolutely admirable.

The highlight of my experience at Grandma’s Kitchen was undoubtedly the exceptional customer service. The owner went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. He was attentive to my needs, answered our questions about the menu with enthusiasm, and made excellent recommendations.
One minor aspect that could be improved upon was the waiting time for the food. As the restaurant is still relatively new, I understand that some delays are to be expected. Nonetheless, the delicious food and excellent service more than made up for this minor inconvenience.

My husband and I drove about 40 minutes after hearing about this place on Instagram and let’s just say we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted with a smile. The food was fresh, tasty and cooked to order. We will definitely come back again.

I live in Coral Springs and I’m so happy we don’t have to drive far for good soul food! This place definitely did not disappoint!! 10/10!! The fried ribs and the collard greens were my favorite!! Everything was freshly made and perfectly seasoned! Worth the wait. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely amazing. I got the veggie platter. My 3 sides were Mac & cheese, baked beans and candi yams with a corn muffin! This is one of the best soul food places I’ve ever had. My boyfriend got the fried tilapia and LOVES it. Currently writing this review as we devour this food. AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

There was a gentleman that worked there that gave me the most humbling experience I’ve ever had in my consumer experience at any place that I’ve ever shopped. The worker there was alone, tending to four then five customers. He was in a wheelchair with one arm. He is a super hero. Without showing signs of distress, he was hustling back and forth in his wheelchair, dropped the chicken and fries, cut out the macaroni he made & held the ringing phone from his shoulder to his ear for to-go orders. LISTEN, I’ve never witnessed any disabled nor abled worker, work to that capacity, without panic. He held his own and the food was good! It was closing time, I would’ve asked for a to go plate but he was cleaned out Mac & cheese. Go here! Support this business!

Let me just say, this Southern food is great! It’s a sleeper, because it’s tucked away in this plaza covered by trees away from the road way. This was my first time going and I’m happy to report my daughter and I enjoyed the food for sure.
