Walking into Al & Andy’s feels like a warm hug from the nostalgic 90s. It’s a quintessential family restaurant that perfectly captures that unpretentious vibe you just don’t find much anymore. It’s the kind of place where the service is friendly and the comfort food is exactly what it should be: hearty and soul-warming. We leaned into the classics and weren’t disappointed. The Gyro platter was excellent—generous portions of savory meat, pita, and a Greek salad that was surprisingly fresh with big chunks of feta and olives. We also had the Hot Turkey dinner, which was the star of the show. It came absolutely smothered in rich, traditional gravy with mashed potatoes and a side of cranberry sauce—it tasted like a Sunday dinner at home.
If you’re in Schiller Park and looking for a trip down memory lane with big portions to match, this is the spot. A true local gem!

Food was great. French toast tastes like home made. After being at a motel for the last week in Chicago this was a welcomed treat! My husband had country fried steak with biscuits and gravy. He loved it. It’s been a while since I’ve seen him be a member of the clean plate club.

Had a great time at this diner. Really friendly and quick service. Great size portions for a morning breakfast.
I ordered the waffle with sides of hash browns and eggs. The waffle was just great and the hash browns were not overly greasy.
The rest of my party ordered the spinach omelet, and the steak and eggs. They both enjoyed their meals.

My kids and I are always looking to try new neighborhood breakfast spots. It was our first time here last Wednesday. The place was cozy and the food was delicious and not overpriced. We truly enjoyed our time chatting while the wonderful lady offered us more coffee.
We will definitely be coming back.

I can’t believe I missed this place. I work nearby in a shared kitchen and always went to the cute McDonald’s for a quick bite. This spot was right on the same street, and I honestly thought it was just an old place with no charm. But when you walk in—it’s a surprise. It’s clean, it smells great, the server smiles, and the food comes out fresh and fast. You can tell they know what they’re doing. The customers look happy and relaxed, clearly regulars. I’ll be one now, too.

I always look for places like these when traveling. (Good ol comfort food with a small town atmosphere) Some are a swing and a miss, some work out. This one was a home run. Excellent food, excellent service. The Al and Andy’s skillet was fantastic.

Traveling from Florida, my daughter, her children, and myself, warm greeting, friendly service, comfort food and good prices, everythingwas all set for 4 stars, BUT …
then we all got back to our hotel and spent long lengths of time in the bathroom before we could go out again, often find this in restaurants that use too much sanitizer on their dishes, so beware if you’re not a regular customer, or maybe order your food “To Go”

Came here first time for breakfast. Skillets was good so as the pancake. Price is reasonable. Vibe is very casual and relaxed, Only not so good is that coffee was really water down, planning on coming back to try other stuff from the menu.
