My family and I had a wonderful time here! We’ve been going to the Skokie location since it opened and it’s always been delicious. There are so many new, flavorful items on the menu. As a vegan, there were tons of options labeled as vegan/vegetarian (I really want to go back for brunch, so selfishly, I hope they add some vegan/vegetarian brunch items). During a time when so many restaurants are taking away vegan items off their menus, It’s so refreshing to see so many on this delicious menu. I left so full and excited to go back for more.

We ordered half the menu and literally the only note I had was that I wish the yuca fries were cut a little thicker, other than that, we could not stop raving about the flavors.

The ambiance is great, food hit, staff is lovely (chef outdid himself), and the drinks – wow! You’ve got to check this place out – wonderful for date night, celebrations, birthdays, & family gatherings – it’s a new gem in the city. We’ll definitely be back soon!

So happy this place has come to the neighborhood! I got the huevos con chorizo. Tortillas were piping hot and I made delicious little breakfast tacos. The black beans were the stand out. So many places have bland beans, but these are choc-a-block full of flavor!

This place was a big, wonderful surprise. Was in town for a last minute visit and ended up here. The menu is forward, simultaneously innovative while being incredibly yummy. Unique combinations that leave you wanting more. Even the traditional items like refried beans are better than anywhere I’ve had recently. There are some standout dishes that will make you rethink combinations. Look for the tlayuda with salmon and tuna and the remolacha which is a dish with beets and pistachios and truffle vinaigrette (trust me, phenomenal). The whole concept felt like something out of Mexico City and the first-rate dining scene you’d expect to find there. The service was extremely good, and the space is really well built out. Highly recommend. A great addition to the neighborhood. We needed this addition to the Latin dining scene.

Food and ambiance were both amazing! Went last week with a bunch of friends, had the carne asada with yuca fries, it was so delicious. I was really impressed with how welcoming and lively the atmosphere was. The staff were all very friendly and the bartender made amazing cocktails! Can’t wait to go back!

Happy to have this gem open in wicker park. Delicious food, best mussels I’ve had anywhere, every dish was super delicious. I used to go their Skokie location but that was limited to only when i went to the suburbs so I am happy they opened a location here so i can go whenever I want. Cocktails were yummy too and not over sweetened and artificial flavors. Can’t wait to go for brunch too. We need more indie restaurants as we have enough of those corporaty that have basically replaced big chain restaurants. Everything tasted fresh and quality made from very talented people. How i miss good food like this as we lost so many indie restaurants since covid

We wandered by this unassuming facade and we’re drawn in by its big cafe windows. But the ambiance inside was lovely, live plant everywhere and great music and a homey atmosphere. Then we received an amuse bouche tortilla soup was was great on a cold morning. We got the brunch menu and ordered chilaquiles verdes and the steak and eggs. Both were sick. The drinks were also awesome. Then we got the lime passion fruit sorbet and laughed at how good it was. The staff was friendly and let you have your space. Great brunch. Top notch.

As fans of the original Libertad in Skokie, we went to check out their new location in Wicker Park. We were greeted by the owner and our experience could not have been better. There was a dj keeping the latin vibes playing throughout the evening. We enjoyed the octopus, mussels and shrimp along with our cocktails and verdejo wine. The passionfruit and lime sorbet was the perfect finisher! Wicker Park, you’re going to love this spot.
