Drinks are way over priced. Check your receipt as you order and watch them make your drinks. They charge for double shots in drinks w/o asking or advising. The double shots they charge for do not make it into the drinks. They do 1 oz pours of alcohol in drinks as opposed to normal 2 oz. Still over charging for the half shots they give out. It’s a rip off. Food Menu does not offer accurate items or information. Not a place I plan to frequent.

Went to uptown cafe last night. Been coming for years, Always enjoyed the week day evening vibe. Well, I was charged $28 for a Don Julio Margarita??? The receipt read, I had 4 drinks because she charged for double shots, which I didn’t ask for nor did the barmaid state the price up charge. When I questioned the bill she stated prices went up. Total bill for 2 drinks $56, at the local watering hole! Make it make sense.

Neighborhood bar with young to middle aged crowd but mostly young. Go between 3 and 8 for 50 up. Have not had the food but food service is prompt. However, nice bartenders and good service.

Used to be a vibe, I used to love it here.
Went last night for my cousins bday & the bartenders didn’t acknowledge us right away they had friends there & were just leaning on the bar chatting with them & not catering to everyone at the bar with any since of urgency. Didn’t really feel welcomed, they were giving hated vibes which I’m not used to when being there.
Luckily we curated our own vibe at our end of the bar & made the best of it.
Upstairs I was charged for double shots when I asked for singles… I’m out $24 but whatever.
My cousin didn’t like her food so that also seems to have went downhill.
All in all it’s just not as inviting as it used to be so I probably won’t be back & that sucks. 2 stars for it being black owned.

Bad atmosphere and vibes here after aunties wallet was stolen then an EMPLOYEE took it and used it. Management had the employee on video taling it and then cocered up for him. Cant trust this environment.

The whole staff is shady, sister lost her wallet asked the manager to look at the footage he said no one took it. Come to find out that the camera showed the person who took it and it happened to be an employee that worked there. If they have no morals I wouldn’t trust them to make a meal.

Bartender created great drinks, however she created (3) Crown Royal cocktail drinks and didn’t communicate to me that each drink was a double shot for each. Usually bartenders follow a recipe or at least ask if you want a double etc. The bill for 3 drinks and my fiance’s drink was over $75.00 The bill was not much of an issue it was just the principal that we never had a bartender not give us the heads up of the shots that she was incorporating into he drinks.
