As most of the reviews has mentioned the location us little weird, but once we found it we don’t have any complaints.
The food was just amazing and people serving were very nice and friendly.
We tried bun muska chai, corn chaat, dahi puri and bombay sandwich, gulab jamun dessert, everything was above our expectation.
You must try bun muska, chai and corn chat.
Also, they made all of these item Jain, without onion/garlic/potatoes. And dessert was eggless.
Will definitely visit again.

Hidden Gem for Indian Street Food in San Jose!
If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors in San Jose, this small place inside SoFA Market is an absolute must-visit! I tried their Samosa Chaat, Veg Puff, Flavoured Golgappa, and of course, our classic Indian Masala Chai — and every single item was spot on and full of flavor. The taste, presentation, and freshness reminded me of home. It’s a cozy little setup but delivers 5 out of 5 on taste and satisfaction. A perfect place to satisfy those desi street food cravings!

This place is inside the sofa market. We ordered bun maska, bun maska with jam, dahi sev puri, loaded Bombay sandwich Aloo tikki Sandwich and hot gulab jamun. Everything was super delicious especially I loved the dahi sev puri, it had perfect balance of flavors and texture was firm and not soggy at all.
We also tried their elaichi and adrak chai unfortunately we did not quite like it.

It is inside a food court. There are adequate seating options and service was quick
I got the samosa chaat. It was good. Not anything phenomenal but fit the bill.

Desi Express was in a weird location first of all, inside a building then sharing the space with other restaurants. A little hard to find for the first time. Then food was good especially the bombay sandwich and the unique guava flavor pani puri which is quite rare in US. The quality was also excellent and if you are fan of sandwichs, chatt. It is worth visiting.

Good indian street food. Bombay grilled sandwich was really tasty. Virgin mojito was good too. Samosa chaat was not bad. Cold coffee could be a bit thick. One of the dish cane with small potato chips packet. Overall good vibe and ambiance. Its a little expensive for the quantity. Panipuri was 12$, which is very pricey compared to other places.
* the store is inside SoFA.*

The food was really tasting good and it is served very clean. We have tried 5 paani Golagappe which have five different flavors of paani – Guava, Jaljeera, mint, regular, raw mango which were really good. Also tasted Dahi balla papad chaat which was tasty too and they gave sweet curd, tamarind and mint chutneys separately packed which was really neat and clean. The veg puff and chicken puff were ok in taste have too thick puff pastry.

We hired desi express for catering for a birthday party. The entire process of ordering and delivery was very seamless. Ritika was very helpful with the planning and grazing table was very nicely setup with the theme of the party. All our guests, including the kids enjoyed eating the bite sized portions and found the food very tasty. Thank you for the great service!

Ordered food online from Desi Express multiple times but this is the first time experiencing dine-in. The restaurant is part of a food court in DT San Jose.
Food is exotic and they have an unique blend to their recipes. Sandwiches , Cheese Jalapeno Puff , Peanut Chaats are my favorites. Their dessert menu also has a variety. They serve Bun Maska as well, in a tutti-fruity bun.

It was our first time at this place and loved the food. We had the paneer Tikka sandwich (came with small lays) and corn chat. Both were just like how it would be in India. The pricing was reasonable too. Their desserts looked interesting, but we were too full to try. Will definitely come back again.
