It’s been 20+ years since I last had Cold Stone. I remember when they used to sing! Their ice cream is just as good as I remember it! Glad to have one nearby in case I want to take another walk down memory lane. Kind of cool that they’ve partnered with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory except I don’t like chocolate.

How fun to find the variety of chocolates long with fabulous ice cream!
The restaurant was clean and the service was great! I got my go-to fave of chocolate silk ice cream and Heath mix-in… so yummy!

My husband and I haven’t went to Cold Stone for years because there’s so many other places and our kids are now teenagers. We walked in and felt pressured to hurry and order. We came around 6:40ish pm on the 12th, yesterday! Two of your employees were looking at us and it felt super uncomfortable. You just keep standing there making us feel so pressured to hurry. We asked you kindly we are also not ready. No line no one waiting behind us. We are from Cedar Rapids so this would be our first time at this location and would appreciate your team to chill and not make people hurry like we are in a race! We didn’t even get to really pick one, we just went with a strawberry cheesecake one. She placed it on the cold stone, from my understanding this stone is suppose to help freeze up the ice cream while the toppings are mixed in. She just made it soupier and you could have put it in a cup and tossed a straw in it and called it a day! She even sloped the soup all over the cup and tried to hand it to me. I had to have her wipe it off, but it was so bad. This is what she handed me in the pic! I took the picture right away! I asked why it looks like this and her reply was it’s the cheese cake ice cream. Well it was better looking left in your tube and id rather have you not flip it on your metal mixing plate Bec you made it like a shake. I paid And took a few bites with my husband and we tossed it. They could of offered us a diff flavor if they knew how to read customers faces! My husband went up and showed how nasty it looked and it looked like we just let it melt, but instead this is how you handed me the $8 cup of soup. What a disappointment and if you are a manager and reading this, reply with your email and phone number and I’ll call you!

My daughters and I gave a tradition where we visit the Operating Room to play games and then we go a couple doors down to Cold Stone for ice cream. Cold Stone is owned by the same Gents who own Magees across the street – another good place. My daughters and I like their specialty shakes and haven’t experienced anything less than great ice cream and great customer serious.

Been a bit since the last time I have been to a Cold Stone.
Ordered a strawberry and kit Kat. They didn’t chop up the candy like they use to. Maybe they dont do it like that anymore

Oh my goodness, I don’t even know where to begin! I have been getting cold stone my entire life, with it being a treat every time because I live an hour away from the closest one. When I walked into this cold stone, my husband and I were greeted by Caleb with the happiest hello! We were then given the most hospitality I have ever received at any business I have been to! He offered to let us try flavors and never made us feel like we were asking too much. He then made our order with the happiest pep in his step.
The entire experience was perfect thanks to Caleb. This is now my preferred Cold Stone location!

Friendly staff, clean, all flavors and mix-ins readily available. Not much more one could ask for when you want some dessert after a good meal. They have plenty of waffle cone selections and even had the special Barbie cup and flavor available for those wanting to go all pink. Will definitely return the next time we are in town and want ice cream.

We pretty much love Cold Stone. First thing we always notice when we walk in, is that the place is pretty clean and tidy. Now, for the good stuff. My wife usually gets the Chocolate Devotion, and I get either a chocolate malt, or like on this most recent occasion, a Granny Smith Caramel Apple with Peanuts. Yep, they’ll even slice it for you if you want. There are places to sit outside when weather permits. And … the restrooms are usually pretty tidy! If you follow me, you know we travel extensively, and I make point of restroom condition in many of my reviews. Just as important as the food the serve.
Good job, Cold Stone in Prairie Trail area! We enjoyed this visit so much, we came back the following day!

The ice cream quality is satisfactory. The staff is nice, though they sang to me when I tipped them—kind of paradoxical, you’d think if they wanted more tips, they wouldn’t sing, but I digress. The price might be on the expensive end, but it’s what you’d expect.

Heads up… The cheesecake ice cream is not firm. I guess it’s supposed to be already melted. Or that’s what I was told. The employee dripped it al over the cup, and I asked her to please wipe it off first before handing it to my wife… she gave it about 1/2 the effort, and I finished wiping it off. We sat down to eat it, and both of us just laughed, looking at the sloppy mess we’re supposed to be enjoying. I usually don’t say anything negative about places, but this was ridiculous. LOL. I took it up and asked if this was normal as I held it up to a different employee for a second opinion. She asked if that was cheesecake in my cup. I replied yes. She responded, “Yes. It’s just the way cheesecake ice cream is.”
