This establishment is a literal hidden gem. Nestled within a world renowned golf resort, Canyon Lake is a fabulous steak house that screams high quality, fresh, unique, bursting with flavor and trendy dishes that do not disappoint. The lamb rib starter is a Mediterranean chefs kiss. A unique blend of za’tar spice, chimichurri and goat cheese that coats each rib perfectly. Their bread is out of this world…just try it! The French onion soup…liquid gold with a ton of melty cheese and topped with onion strings. Heavenly!! The bone in ribeye was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the butcher steak was a huge portion that was exceptionally cooked and begged to be eaten. It happened to be our anniversary, but we were so full that their dessert menu couldn’t persuade us to take another bite. Dakota, our lovely waitress, who was part of the experience of Canyon Lake felt we needed the creme brulee’ for our anniversary…on the house! Such a warm, unexpected, kind gesture…oh, I almost forgot to mention, if you order a steak they bring out an assortment of beautiful steak knives and you get to choose the one you’d like to use. A first for me!! Annnd, as you leave, the hostess brings out a box of delectable truffles to choose from. It’s the little things that make a big ripple. From the view, the food and the fine dining experience, I have to say Canyon Lake is right at the top of our list. This was our first experience here but it definitely won’t be our last.
Thank you Dakota and Canyon Lake for making our anniversary a memorable one!!

After golf we (4) went for dinner. Seated immediately, very friendly hostess. Decor is nice, sort of conference room look, chunky furniture but comfortable. Beautiful view outside to sunset. My chimichurri steak was medium priced and tasted wonderful, very soft, cooked to order. The sides (Brussels sprouts, broccolini and mashed potatoes) were very good. Our server was very attentive, helpful and friendly. Overall a good experience but pricey. Great for a business dinner after golf!

For a steak house at a popular destination you would think they would have better atmosphere, service and food. We ordered our ribeye medium rare and it was overcooked with no flavor. Food looks much better than it tastes! The service was subpar. The table/restaurant design is not inviting and just feels like a conference room with a few tables in it. They need a full overhaul on this place between staff and chefs to make this worth the money. You are better off just eating the food at the hotel bar.

From start to finish, our experience at Canyon Lake Steakhouse was incredible. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between refined and relaxed, with beautiful views and an inviting dining room. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was executed with precision the steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned, showing real craftsmanship behind the grill.
The menu highlights top-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation, from the creative appetizers to the decadent desserts. The sides especially the Creamed Corn Brûlée and Wild Demi Mushrooms complemented the entrées perfectly.
Service was attentive and knowledgeable without being intrusive. It’s clear that the culinary team here takes pride in what they do as well as the service team. Canyon Lake Steakhouse is easily one of the best steakhouse dining experiences in the area.

This place is very good. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was fantastic. The filet was perfectly cooked and my wife’s grouper was one of the best pieces of fish she has ever had. Nice wine selection. It’s expensive but if you are there for a getaway treat yourself.

The service was great, no complaints on that. The short rib was too saucy for our liking and the chimichurri steak was very oily to us. For someone else, they may enjoy these flavors but for us it was too overpowering of the meat. We enjoyed our meal at Sottoterra much more.

This place was the Chili’s of streamsong. The food was hot garbage. My whole group ordered $80-$115 steaks medium rare and they all came out medium well to well done. I’m a blue collar guy and don’t complain to restaurants ever…..ever. We complained to them about both apps and steaks. The service was fantastic, though.

Been twice on separate occasions. Food and service was excellent. New York strip, fillet minion and sides were delicious.

Steaks were over done. Truffle fries only had truffle “oil” on them. Had a long day playing golf only to get served sub par steaks. Not worth it. Service was excellent.
