I’m going to be honest with my review, the service and employees were very nice, but the food was just not tasty. And the ambience outside was ruined by a group of homeless people next door getting in a loud screaming match right by our table (they ate right next to a dispensary). The bread and topping they serve for free was very underwhelming, and I did not like the topping. My main entree, lasagna, was a soggy, cheesy, greasy mess. It came served in a baking dish, under a pile of thick cheese. There was nowhere near enough pasta compared to the cheese and saucy grease. It had no flavor, and the pasta was so overcooked that it was gummy and soft. The one good thing was the cappuccino, which was solid. Was pretty let down, especially seeing all of the rave reviews.

I am from Australia visiting my daughter. I said I want pizza and she said this is the best authentic Italian restaurant. We shared the bruschetta of roasted Brussels ricotta and a honey sauce it was absolutely outstanding in taste. We also had crusty bread complemented bread with oil and eggplant. And of course we finished off sharing a massive pizza. Honestly I was so full and I wanted to eat everything because it was delicious but I couldn’t fit another thing. Let me first say this. I LOVE ITALIANS!!! The food, the personality, the atmosphere. We felt like we were right back in Roma. This is by the far the BEST Italian food I had in the USA and in Florida of all places!? We had the pistachio pasta and bella napoli gnocchi!

As new residents exploring the local dining scene, we feel so lucky to have discovered Trattoria Bella Napoli!
On our first visit, we each ordered individual pizzas and ended with their classic tiramisu for dessert—everything was absolutely delicious and brought us right back to Italy. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the warm hospitality made the experience truly special.
A big shoutout to our exceptional server ‘Francesco’, who provided thoughtful service and wonderful recommendations. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his daughter, who personally welcomed us and thanked us for visiting—a lovely touch that made us feel truly appreciated.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit, and can’t wait to explore their pasta dishes!

This is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Sarasota. They made me feel right at home. The best Neapolitan pizza I’ve eaten in Naples. Soft and tasty with excellent Italian ingredients, such as flour, tomato, and mozzarella. The owner and chef, Cesare, knows what he’s doing, overseeing the kitchen and making sure everything is fine at the tables. GRAZIE

After searching for great places to visit in Sarasota, we decided on Italian food was the way to go. We needed a reservation, but the lady at the booth was kind enough to book us in, just a 30-minute wait.
Once we decided what to order, we started with a simple appetizer: the $16 meatballs. The presentation was beautiful, but they lacked flavor for our taste. Overall, everything felt just okay.
We ordered a Margherita pizza but made the mistake of adding fresh mozzarella for an extra $3. We think this made the dough soggy, and it still felt like it was missing something. The basil kind of carried the flavor, but not enough. All five of us at the table agreed, this wasn’t for us.
We also tried the gnocchi pesto and the bolognese lasagna, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either, and for the price… we just weren’t sold.
On the bright side, our server was very attentive and friendly, and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere. Maybe it was just us, but overall, it just didn’t hit the mark for our group.
