We celebrated my husband’s Birthday at Revel and it did not disappoint! Our server Helios who was highly recommended was great! Our food was delicious, it was so much we couldn’t even finish it! The restaurant is beautiful, the ambiance was really nice. We will definitely return.

Absolutely LOVED the food! Place was full on a Thursday night, so with no reservations we ended up sitting at the bar for dinner. Didn’t really have the opportunity to get a good feel for the dinning room vibe. But if it’s anything close to the food, I’m sure it’s great. Yes, this place is rather expensive. However, both of us had AMAZING dinner. The steak was cooked perfectly and had fantastic flavor. The mashed potatoes were perfect. The green beans were the best I’ve ever had. She has the Salmon and she couldn’t stop talking about how great it was. Then the omg desserts. We had the chocolate cake and the raspberry cheese cake. The cheese cake is by far the very best either of has had ever had. We left full as can be and had an AMAZING meal. The staff (bartender) was on top of it as well. Drinks were also great. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Proves the true meaning that you get what you pay for. This was a phenomenal dinner. Thank you to the chefs. We will be back soon.

Sat at the bar due to it being a Friday night and not having reservations. Was going to soundboard for a show. Bartender promptly greeted us, and waited on us immediately. Food was very good. Just had appetizer and split a burger. The burger was very good and tender, and so is the appetizer of the feta and short rib. Very comfortable environment. Very busy make sure you make reservations if you want to be in the restaurant.

In celebration of my wife’s birthday, we dined at Revel Steakhouse, located inside MotorCity Casino, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The ambiance was elegant—warm lighting, tasteful décor, and relaxing music set the perfect tone for an intimate evening. Our server, Helio, was exceptional: knowledgeable, personable, and attentive from start to finish.
We began with the jumbo crab cake, delicately crusted and resting on a rich, flavorful sauce—it was easily one of the best crab cakes we’ve ever tasted. My cowboy ribeye, cooked medium-rare, was perfectly seasoned and melted in my mouth, complemented by a decadent lobster mac and cheese with generous chunks of lobster and a crisp topping. My wife’s lamb chops were tender, beautifully presented, and paired with flawlessly cooked scalloped potatoes.
Our drinks—the Tropical Refresher and Cadillac Rosé Martini—were refreshing and well-balanced. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality, service, and experience justify every dollar. Hands down, this was one of the finest dining experiences we’ve ever had.

We dined here as hotel guests.
We were able to walk in without a reservation and were given a nice table for two.
We both had a cocktail as a starter.
We ordered the lobster soup together, and it was nicely deglazed with cognac—delicious.
We both wanted the New York Strip, but unfortunately, it was sold out.
We opted for the Ribeye, which was a good piece of meat.
We also had fries with truffle, which was delicious.
The crème brûlée was large and deliciously warm with fresh fruit. The dessert special was also good.

Best. Crab. Cakes. Ever. Definitely in the same league of the best crab cakes I’ve had from Maryland. Incredible service and wonderful ambiance. I was so impressed with the food and service went back four days later after my first ever visit to Revel before the Kindred Family Soul concert at Sound Board. Revel will for sure stay in my dining rotation during my travels to Motown.

Our service and atmosphere were nothing to write home about, but that steak? Ooooh boi. I’ve been all over the world for steak. Vegas, Australia, France, Italy, French Polynesia, Scotland. Here in Detroit I’ve been to London Chophouse, P+P several times (my favorite until tonight) and every other casino steakhouse in the city. I’ve had Mr. Paul’s, Louies and J Baldwins. But before tonight I’ve rarely had a steak that legitimately only required a butter knife. Easily one of top . And don’t sleep on the Mac, the Brussels, and the chicken lollipop app.

Made reservations, as we were attending fight night at The Sound Board.
Fayez was our server and he was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.
My steak was excellent. I chose the NY strip.
My wife got salad, and shared my steak with her.
I have never been a fan of crab cakes because it seems you always get more filler than anything THIS IS NOT THE CASE AT REVEL.
If you are looking for a crab cake that is phenomenal, Revel Steak is where you want to go. Look at the pictures and you will see huge chunks of crab, and it is definitely more crab than anything else, since the “cake” fell apart, so it was barely stuck together (filler).
Cocktails are excellently created and presented.
The decor of the restaurant is fabulous, chic.
We didn’t have a single negative thing to say or feel about Revel Steak, and it was perfect for a date night!
We were originally sat at a table for 2, and I asked if we could be at a 4 top, so I can sit next to my wife and not across from her, and they accommodated us, which made our experience much more pleasant.
Thank you Fayez, and thank you Revel Steak!

My steak was perfect, crab cake was delicious and the drinks were good. The sides were hit or miss, my Mac and cheese was fine but two other guests had dry and cold Mac. Service not so much, felt rushed the entire dinner with a party of 10 that started early.

Revel has a rather clean and understated elegance and a menu full of classic favorites. The Lobster Bisque, Filet, and Asparagus were absolutely top-notch. And the desserts! The crème brûlée and the peanut butter-chocolate creation alone are reason enough to return. As for the cocktails—they were beautifully crafted and spot on.
Our server was attentive and had great recommendations. The overall service style added to the refined, classy vibe of the place.
