Really nice little mom & pop, establishment. I would call it a community restaurant, in that the people who eat there have formed their own little community. My chicken was so tender, and flavorful, that it could end up ruining chicken from of places for me.

The food is AMAZING and the owner is so welcoming! I felt right at home. The empanadas (beef) were delicious, light and crispy on the outside, stuffed on the inside! We got a lunch of churrasco guisado (stewed skirt steak) arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) and maduros! Huge portions and quite authentic! Don’t forget the coco queso flan!

Why does it say you are open on Saturday? Made the trip out twice to genava from lake county and each time you are closed but on Google it says you are open. Please update your business hours so people know.

Hard to find genuine Puerto Rican cuisine in ashtabula until this place opened up. There food is made fresh daily in house and is on point staff is friendly. Truly feels like u stepped into a restaurant in Puerto Rico.

We don’t eat out often because we’re usually let down, but this place is GREAT!
We really enjoyed our lunch, today. Shredded pork, gizzards and green bananas, fried pork chunks, red beans w/potatoes and rice, pork and rice and yummy sweet plantains. There are a lot more choices, and we’re looking forward to trying them, too. The owner is super friendly. We’re very happy with our meals! Thank you, so much!

The lady who served us was very nice. The atmosphere is very good. The rice was VERY dry. The pork had no flavor whatsoever and was also very dry. But I’d definitely recommend going and giving them a try. Maybe I just picked the wrong stuff because the coworker I went with LOVED everything he got.
