This spot has been on my radar for a while. I made my way to try the catfish as not something easily found in our area. The location was absolutely nostalgic, grate since of community. The hospitality was welcoming and warm. The food was absolutely delicious! I chose the Catfish Plate that come with three sides.The Mac was absolutely mac’n ! Really nice gentlemen helped me. I got the chicken wings, fish plate (came with 3 sides) and a po boy. Chicken wings super crispy. Fried fish was crispy and soft on the inside. Po boy was stacked and full of flavor. Best food I’ve had in a while. Ate it so fast I forgot to take pictures

I was out of town for a work trip and wanted to try something different and I’m glad I did. I got the fish and shrimp combo, greens, fries and cornbread! Everything was fresh and satisfied my southern appetite. The gentleman that greeted and served me was real pleasant and just a cool experience. Check them out if ever in Yakima!

Little start up kitchen but that man is putting out some big flavor! It’s high time we had some soul food in this town again! Catfish was seasoned perfectly, not a hint of the earthy notes that often plagues poorly executed fish. Also had the shrimp which was tasty and well seasoned. Didn’t get to try the sides as they didn’t have any at the moment but I have no doubt that they will be just as great as what I did sample. Worth the time, worth the drive, even worth the wierd nostalgia of being that close to East Side Community Center. Definitely check this place out.
