The menu is very inventive and moreover each drink and dish was a solid 10. Best cauliflower i have ever had and I have tried a lot! Service friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Happy hour pricing appreciated!

Service was impeccable for our group of eight … attentive without being overbearing, with staff who know their menu inside out and happy to chat about the sourcing stories behind each dish.
Aurum Maui stood out as a true fusion of tradition, innovation, and attention to detail. Whether for a quick happy hour bite or a full-blown feast, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger and or celebrate special events.
Our table shared several orders of the Fried Chicken w/ Gochujang BBQ sauce and was enjoyed by all. I had the Hand Rolled Ricotta Gnocchi w/ fennel sausage that several others had to sample followed by sharing a Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb with all the trimmings. All top notch!
We look forward to our next return!
The seafood dishes are always a highlight for us. The fish dip, lobster toast, and kanpachi collars are absolute favorites and never disappoint. And even if you feel full, don’t skip their desert!

My flat iron steak was cooked to perfection and the accompanying mash potatoes, mushrooms and veggies were amazing. Our entire group was absolutely pleased beyond description with every dish, stopping to compliment the layers of flavors, textures and tenderness.
Chef Taylor (Ponte) and his team have things down to a fine art. Food, drink, ambiance and all reasonably priced and locally sourced as well. This will forever be a stop EVERY trip to Maui!

We had the bone marrow appetizer and it was great! The star of the show for me was the ricotta gnocchi; I am still thinking about it!!! My husband didn’t love the pork dish; flavor was great but he found it too greasy which made him a little uninterested in it.
Our server brought us a lil banana bread sundae thing as a celebration which I just absolutely loved and thought was a great touch!! I hope we can come back and visit again someday

The service was prompt, attentive, and genuinely warm, a testament to the gracious management of the front-of-house led by Natasha, Chef Taylor Ponte’s wife. Her customer service and dedication ensured a seamless and welcoming experience.
Another highlight was, of course, the food. Executive Chef Taylor Ponte is a master craftsman in the culinary world, and it shows in every dish. A proud graduate of UHMC’s culinary arts department, he is renowned for his commitment to utilizing fresh, local ingredients, transforming them into plates with incredible depth of flavor in every single bite. Each course was a harmonious composition, highlighting his skill and artistry. We were fortunate to start with an amuse-bouche that set the stage.
Beyond the kitchen, Chef Ponte is a selfless leader, notably assisting the food hub during the wild fire recovery efforts, which only deepens our appreciation for this restaurant.
Whether you’re looking for a perfect choice for a special dinner or want to sample their tasty and well-priced options during happy hour, Aurum delivers. As the couple dining next to us—first-time guests like ourselves—also agreed, this is a must-visit. We are already planning our return 🙂
