For starters…dough over-worked creating a tough pastry/no crumb…sub-par at best. Filling seemed like it came straight from the frozen food section creating a mushy lackluster tasteless filling. Maybe they were just behind the gun because of the Bridgewalk… Don’t Know. Wouldn’t return though.

I encourage you to check out this lovely pasty/party store. The service is wonderful. The lady behind the counter was beyond hospitable. She made us feel like family. During our visit, she even came out from the counter to check on us and give us a sample of the best chocolate mint after dinner to try. The chocolate after dinner mint was so delicious, I had to buy a box for our daughter’s Thanksgiving table.

Amazing! Everyone needs to try the beef pasty. It was comfort food to the max. You can drink the gravy, it’s that good! It had great chunks of beef that just reminded us of mom’s cooking. The blueberry pie was perfectly sweet with great, big blueberries in it.
The hospitality from Penny and the staff was above and beyond. Very sweet and friendly! We will be definitely coming back!

Vacationing in the UP for the first time and wanted to experience the cuisine of the area. Pasties were all over and we stopped into this place on the way to the campground. The gentleman at the counter was knowledgeable and kind. We ordered the beef pasties with a side of brown gravy. It was absolutely delicious! We grabbed a couple packs of fudge to take home as well. Thank you!

There were amazingly wonderful women running the restaurant when we arrived. They were extremely helpful in answering our questions, helping us pick what to try and made sure we had all utensils and condiments before we left with our food. We tried the veggie, chicken, beef and apple pasties. They were all delicious, however we all preferred the chicken pasty with the chicken gravy. Thank you for the wonderful and affordable meal, we enjoyed the experience!

We have been to the UP several times and each time try pasties from different places. So far, the first two times were just okay. But this time we went to homemade pasties and it was THE BEST we have had. Crust was flakey and perfect, and the filling savory and perfectly cooked. The gravy was also beyond wonderful. I made the mistake of saying gravy only with the sliders. Do not be like past Kim. Be like Kim in a few days who will get more beef pasties with gravy. All the gravy. If they offer it in quarts, quarts of gravy. Seriously. The sliders we found were easier to eat than the regular size, but honestly you can’t go wrong either way. I did prefer the beef to chicken.

Worst pasties I’d ever had. Flavorless crust and beef was way way too salty and the beef cubes were tough. The blueberry was like a brick plus ruined it with sugar sprinkles. I don’t like giving bad reviews but I did not like them. The gravy was good. I don’t understand all the good reviews but to each their own.

We were so excited to try a pasty, but we’re very disappointed in the lack of flavor/seasoning. Without the gravy and you needed more than provided, it is super dry. It tasted like an in-between of a can of beef stew and a frozen beef pot pie. The chicken was the same way, very hard to stomach. The small pop was a child’s size, but the coleslaw was good, just different. This is just our opinion, obviously from the reviews many people love them.

Possibly the best homemade pasties if ever eaten. Everything is fresh and delicious. And yes, they make them with rutabagas, yum.
The gravy is made from the drippings of the pot roast that is slow roasted. These things are the bomb! I have not tried the fruit pies, but those look amazing, too.

My family didn’t like them. Worst pasties I’ve ever had. Tasteless mush tht felt like it came from a can or frozen section. Not fresh ingredients
