went on a Wednesday for their $5 pho/boat noodle special.

upon arrival we (party of 2) were greeted and sat down immediately. the waitress gave us water in these 4 small plastic cups so that if we needed refills later then we would drink the extras first. later a diff waiter came and said why did we get those small cups so he gave us full sized ones instead. lol

got 2x boat noodles, raw laab, papaya & Mango smoothie.

boat noodles were okay. i would go somewhere else nxt time. we were told the $5 promo means they come in small sizes but we were ok with that. even then the size was just right for us overall.

raw laab was okay. the papaya (lao style) was really good & spicy though, I liked it.

service was friendly.

My significant other and I went to eat right when they open at 11am. Seems quite busy already. Which of course, off the bat to my thinking a busy place means great food and service.
However, no one greeted us when we entered. There were 2 couples before us, waiting already.

The wait wasn’t long which was a good thing. We were seated closest to the entrance. Didn’t mind it at first until after we’re done eating, while packing my leftovers their carpet company came to remove the old door mat and replace it with a new one right next to our table. Again, thankfully, we were already done eating otherwise all the dirt and dust could have flew into our food. Would definitely recommend removing this table.

We were given small plastic cups of water first from the waitress and then the owner himself came with straws and regular cups of water for us. We waited for about 10mins before getting our order taken. No one came to check on us or ask how was the food. We were literally given 2 napkins and our water was never refilled.

We order most of their $5 menu food items.
From the menu it did list only chicken option for the fried rice and pad Thai.

Pad Thai was hard and chewy. Seasoning wasn’t to my liking more on the sour side. I’ve always had pad Thai with peanuts on the side and bean sprouts. No peanuts were offered, bean sprouts were already mixed in with the Pad Thai when brought out. 1/5

Fried rice was not even close to your typical fried rice. I didn’t taste any extra seasonings. Texture of the rice was there. Just not the seasonings or the color. 1/5.

Papaya was decent. I like the spice level though for others it may have been too spicy. More on the Thai style. 3/5

Pork laab did not have enough rice powder seasoning. Not dry, which was a good! Sticky rice was fresh. 2.5/5

Pork belly was good. Has a nice crisp, regular jasmine rice. Simple & basic typical Hmong pork belly. The meat is a little dry but not hard. 4/5

Sausage was also very good. I’ll say I like this best because it’s more authentic for a Hmong cuisine. Served with regular jasmine rice. 5/5.

Hmong pepper that came with the pork belly and sausage, don’t expect much. Salty and not spicy.

I will say, this was a noon visit on a Sunday. There were 3 in my party. I got there first so I requested a table and they sat me down and brought water. After the rest of the party came in and sat; we waited for roughly 15mins and no one came to take our order. We had to ask to have the server come take our order. There was 2 other parties in the restaurant at the time. The food was good. I ordered the xtra large pho (beef) I felt like it was smaller didn’t have much noodles. The noodles tasted like Mama noodles imo. The broth was pretty good though I’d say. We tried the cooked laab it was good as well, the spring rolls were fresh but they brought a little sauce cup for 2 orders of spring roll…disappointing. The papaya i got was Lao style and it tasted good as well. Overall I believe the food was good. The service definitely needs attention. My bill came to roughly $130+ …that included the 15% automatic gratuity that they placed on the tab. Disappointed in that. Because it was a Hmong owned restaurant I wanted to support. I will say, granted I would’ve given them the gratuity but to be charged it, I didn’t like too much. But with the service and the gratuity charge…it left a sour taste in my mouth…the bathroom was clean, although I only used it to wash my hands. Maybe my first and last time going. Don’t be mad at my review, please. I am being truthful. Not going to sugar coat anything.

08/29/2025 (lunch); Very decent bar/restaurant. Immediately greeted and seated but getting my order completed with a server took about over ten minutes. Server was very sweet. There was only one couple in the restaurant. However, the atmosphere is nice. Remember, everyone has their own judgements, this is my own:

Ordered the Pork Boat Noodle. Very fragrant but definitely your typical, aromatic and herbal, pork pho-not “boat style”. I did love the flavor but it’s not boat. It was extremely salty and I asked for chili vinegar but they don’t have that condiment so I asked for lime, and needed at least four wedges to balance the saltiness. It did the job but it was so salty. The base broth was great, just overworked andnot sure if there’s actually pork blood because it’s thin. There’s no tender meat chunks, just pork slices, fried pork belly, pork rinds.

They do have the Kapik and chili so ask for that if you like it like that! Quantity to Value? Portioned slightly on the smaller scale.

If I was in the area, sure I’d go back. If I’m craving for Boat style, I’d head somewhere else. However, their pho base is good.

I have been in the restaurant industry for 10 years and I was pretty disappointed with the service and food. I don’t like to compare restaurants as each try to fine tune meals in their own unique ways but considering there’s Cups & Cheers, Unison, Elephant Thai, King Thai, Hmong Village, and plenty of other Hmong owned restaurants in the TC, it’s pretty easy to take notes on food and services.
Firstly, their dining area is very small, when we were seated we had our order taken before we received our water.
We ordered chicken wings, red chicken curry, and papaya.
We didn’t receive the pepper that went with the wings, as shown in the photo in the menu. We had to ask for something that should be included like sauce for egg rolls and spring rolls. The papaya was decent as the papaya was soft as if it had been mashed and mixed too long. The red curry was a 3/5.
We never received a water re-fills as servers walked by numerous times, never checking in on us or other tables. Most likely wouldn’t come back.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. P6 xk special pho is not worth it. Look at the list if proteins on description and you can’t find half of it in the pho. Owner had kitchen remake it but still missing ingredients. Why bother listing what’s in the pho if you not going to make it as described. This pho is not worth the price.
The chicken wings tasted dry and hard like it’s been sitting in the warmer all day. It wasn’t cooked when ordered. Very nice of the waiter to have them fry new ones. The newly fried batch was hot and juicy like it should be. Also seem like it was fried in old oil that you can smell and taste on the food. Wings has no flavor. I like to go support hmong businesses but almost all the time it’s disappointing.

We stopped by my wife and the family to see how good the food was. We went in, and they put two tables together for us to accommodate the group we had. I liked the decorations, and they had a stage and karaoke machine, as well as a full bar. We ordered so much food that many of the photos were hard to take because the family dug right in, so excuse my photos.

I would have given 5 stars, but they got two of our orders wrong and it seems like the communication was a bit off. The Pad Thai and the laab were good; however, the fish was too sweet and the Hmong sausage was too salty. A lot of the food came out at different times, so some of us were eating while others were still waiting. So since they didn’t have food we shared with them.

Lastly, we ordered Pad Thai with shrimp, and it came out with chicken. It wasn’t a great experience like I was hoping for.

I’ve been here for multiple times now. Their service has gone better and foods gotten better. I always go for their kapoon and lab when I’m here. Will continue to come here for lunch!

$10 worth of food.

Came in to eat as I been hearing the hype on this place, but was really disappointed. We ordered 1 beef pho, beef boat noodle, egg rolls, spring rolls and a pork belly friend rice. The Pho broths came warm, but not in a good way. The raw sliced beef could not cook in the warm pho broth. We had to ask the waiter to cook the raw beef. The pork belly fried rice was ok the pork belly was not crunchy. Spring roll and Spring roll sauce was great! Egg rolls were also good. The music was way too loud to hear the other person talk and this was around 6pm. Overall I would say try at your own risk, but would not dine again. Was not worth the $80 we spent.

Service: Servers, Bartenders, and Hosts were all friendly and attentive.

Food: Flavorful and a Bang for your buck.

If you are a papaya person, I recommend ordering “spicy (x amount of your desired peppers), sweet, dark). That way you always get it the way you want it.
