We LOVE Serena Cafe! The owners, Sam and Serena, are warming, inviting and AMAZING cooks.
This place is perfect the way it is. The vintage ambiance only adds to the WONDERFUL dining experience. The food is cooked to pure perfection! The handmade cinnamon rolls are DIVINE! This is our go-too for breakfast! They serve lunch too!

Super unique dining experience that you can only find in a small town while the food has big town inspiration. This place is worth the drive or slight detour from your destination. You will not regret it. Just let them know if you’re in a hurry.

What can I say except Delicious?! Perhaps, YUM! We ordered the same dishes as last time. I had been craving it for a couple weeks! Banana Bowl and Country Gravy Bowl. Iced Espresso Latte and a coffee. All good. I have recommended this place to my friends and now publicly. Stop in and enjoy!

Great food, great vibe, and very reasonably priced. The cinnamon roll was insanely good. I think it’s one of the best in the whole region. Get it! Definitely worth the drive out if you’re not from the area or a stop if you happen to be passing through.

VEGANS: DON’T MISS SERENA CAFE!The menu is incredibly vegan-friendly and the owners and staff are very well educated on what is and isn’t vegan and how to veganize menu items. The grain bowls and corn cakes are all veganizable. Everything was incredibly delicious!! The staff is super friendly and the vibe is welcoming and super cute. There’s a puzzle exchange library and there are games to play while you enjoy your time there. We just left and I’m already ready to go back. They have oat milk and almond milk for coffees. Stop reading and go to Serena Cafe! If I could give bonus stars I would!

What a gem – Had a delicious breakfast here, there’s something for everyone! We had the Onion Jam Bowl, the Quinoa Pesto Bowl and also avocado and Boursin avocado toast, all were delicious! Also, the coffee is fabulous… today’s coffee was from Starved Rock Roasters and I could tell immediately because that stuff rocks! Good on them for sourcing local. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. (Also bought some local Serena honey which is yum.)

This is a hidden gem that recently opened in this tiny town with new owners! Not only are the menu options healthy they are absolutely delicious! The prices were amazing as well! We ordered a variety of food from the homemade cinnamon rolls, lattes, and the banana bowl that I had everyone was completely satisfied! Not too far from the resort either so I would recommend taking a short drive to try it out!

SO glad to have found the Serena Cafe!!! Much better than a typical greasy spoon. These folks care about what they’re putting out amd how they’re putting it out. Many well-thought-out homemade ingredients and unique dishes as well as the traditional fare.
I loved my avocado toast and the smoked gouda bites; both specials today.
Support these folks. They are a great addition to the area!!!
