A nice black owned and operated business that I was more than happy to support. Came for a birthday celebration where there was ample parking. Parking for guest are the spots right past the security gate. I drove around in a circle for a bit before I was flagged by friends showing me where I could park. Also, was a bit confused because it is an apartment complex with the restaurant situated at the entry level.
We were the first patrons there and while waiting I was able to watch the football games and even tried ordering a drink, however this is a BYOB establishment.
Servers were very friendly but were just off. We were a party of 8 and was it was suggested that we try the pineapple ginger lemonade, I wasn’t a fan of this drink and Ive had something very similar. I wasn’t able to taste much of the ginger or pineapple but I did like the fruit punch.
I ordered the salmon Caesar salad because nothing really jumped out at me from the menu but the salad wasn’t bad, it just had too much dressing on it and the salmon was cooked well done. I ordered this at the same time that everyone else ordered their meal but nobody else received their plate after me so I dug in (I was a bit hungry). By the time I was done eating they still hadn’t received their meals and at this point we are looking for the servers. It wasn’t packed, there were 2 other patrons at the time.
Finally meals came out (lamb chops, crab cakes, shrimp and grits and other stuff) w/Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and yams. The Mac and Cheese was a hard pass for me, just didn’t taste right to me and the yams were good but I think my sugar spikes a bit after eating some. I didn’t order dessert but a few people did but ended up taking them home, so not sure how it was. One of the complaints was the wait time for people to receive their food and no communication with the table on the time it was taking for it to come out and then we had to remind her what each person swapped out and what they replaced it with because many of the meals had the wrong sides on them.
Overall, I was expecting a bit more regarding taste but presentation was everything.

When I say this place was nothing short of amazing thats still not doing them justice. First when you walk in the atmosphere was bomb. Music was right ambiance was dope. Then we were seated and our waitress “Ruby” was . She had personality and was polite honest and energy was great. She recommended we get the salmon bites and the mussels for an appetizer. The mussels were a decent size and the sauce was poppington lol. I put that sauce on my warm rolls and asked for side of it for my main dish. But will get to that shortly. The salmon bits were fresh seasoned to perfection and the cajun sauce had me feeling like I was in Nawlins’! Again the portion size was perfect. I love the fact they aint skip on the portion size. For Drinks we had the Pineapple Ginger lemonade lets just say i asked for to go cups thats how delicious it was. For our main course my wife had the crab cakes with the garlic mash and garlic spinach. She said the crab cakes test better than Maryland. I thought that was cap so i said let me try. She was not lying. They were fire and again a nice size. My dish i had the pan seared salmon with the same sides with additional side of sweet potatoes. MY WHOLE PLATE WAS AMMAzzzzzzzzzING. The chef hands were definitely touched by the lord. I mean i was scrapping the plate and I did not care who saw it either. The deserts were ok, But everything else was remarkable. Definitely a date night vibe or Friend with Benefits type of vibe. I call this place the honeycomb hideout because its tucked away. If you are looking for some good food dope vibe and great waitress go check them out. Sidenote the owners were super nice and welcoming.

Alhamdulillah, first time I visited this establishment. My husband and I attended an Iftar (Muslim gathering after we break our fast) here with other Muslim brothers & sisters. This establishment hosted an Iftar for the Muslims. It was very delicious & tasty. Atmosphere & Customer Service was AWESOME.

We were here from Baltimore and a friend that is a Philly native recommended them. We are so glad we came. They genuinely offered above average service, and the food portion was Hungry-Man size! Our waitress Ruby was friendly and helpful and the owner was wonderful. The food was good but we did have an issue with the greens but the owner came over, talked with us, and rectified it with a smile. We rocked to the music while we ate and even talked with other customers! Everyone was warm and friendly. Thank you Metropolis for showing us Baltimorians love. ❤️ We will be Back!

I had my husband’s birthday dinner here on November 19th as I have been here twice prior and really try to support black businesses. The food is amazing, however it is never hot when served. The servers are friendly, but not attentive(even before the pandemic). They will disappear for long periods of time without checking on you. It was a hassle just to get a glass of water for each guest and eating utensils. There is also a $50 charge to bring an outside cake, however its a BYOB restaurant so you can bring alcohol which is great but seems more of a liability than a cake. Although the owner was very friendly in person, whoever is in charge of responding to emails for private events was not very helpful or seemed to not want to be bothered. I requested a phone call but was told email was the preferred method of contact. Overall, the guests enjoyed their food and the ambience.

Been here twice. Food was good both times. But the last time we went, we had to pay in cash, and they automatically add a 20% gratuity in no matter the party size. The ambiance is not bad but definitely lacking. At some point during the meal there was no music, just awkward silence as you could hear the conversation at other tables. If you lower your expectations, you can have a decent( not the Philly “decent”) experience.

Decided to go out for my sister’s birthday. We had a party of 20 ( with no reservation ). We were nervous because they had one server. We had the BEST time ever.
