So, i decided to eat out for dinner and i did what I usually do, try something a bit different and new to me, i whipped out my Google maps and search restaurant, and i stumbled on this place. I made reservations and i was on time as usual.
Firstly, not much signage to help locate the place but we made our way in and they had no one at the front ushers podium to greet us so we walked in until we eventually stumbled into one of the employees, who directed us to out seat. I don’t know why but LTE (MOBILE DATA) service in this restaurant was so poor, the triggered me to ask to connect to the restaurants guests wifi, now in Guyana wifi passwords in public buildings and stores are like buying crack, it took about 20 mins to get it, eventually we did, but come one on man really, the restaurant is in a big insulated building please provide free wifi, i don’t mind paying an extra $100 on the food.
Secondly, our food took 45 mins to an one hour from the time of ordering to plates being placed on the table, mind you at that time the restaurant wasn’t busy ( they had 3 to 4 other couples) what made it worse is my food was cold, this tells me it was just sitting there for sometime, my guest also complicated about their food being too salty and had a hard time finishing the plate (which they didn’t), i advised we return the place to the kitchen for the chef to fix but my guest did not want to “creat a scenes” Sad.
Thirdly, the place was a little too dark for my liking but that is just my personal preference .
Goods:
The drinks were good
The place was clean (table, floor and washroom)
The cutlery was wrapping in cloth and not paper napkins (Guyanese thing)
They cleared the tables quickly
The coconut cheese cake was amazing
The steak was a good (5-6 out of 10 for me) i know it is hard getting food cuts in Guyana
Finally, the food i must rate it low because it was too salty and couldn’t finish eating it, but it has potential.
Service : difficulty getting connected. Waiting over an hour for cold food i am sorry they is a no for me.
Atmosphere: i was in my own bubble but the place was nice and cozy, like i said a little too dark for my liking but good.
Would i return? i am not sure yet.

No one to greet you at the door, honestly spent half hour for a waitress and then over an hour wait for food. I lost all appetite and the food was dry and awful. Don’t even bother and most of their seafood is unavailable.

Lets get to the main course which took the same one and half hrs. to get to us but I only received mine and the other took another 15 mins. when we got the meal it was so cold, for the long wait we should have got it hot.
I order a cake since it was my spouse birthday, the waitress said yes but we never got it. I was very disappointed since it was suppose to be a special occasion they jus took that away.
