What a terrific experience we had at the Middle Eastern Bakery and Deli! The service was wonderful and they accommodated my gluten free needs with many choices. They have the most amazing gluten free pitas, breads, hand pies, pita chips, and even gluten free BAKLAVA! FYI, get their lemonade because it’s amazing.
The owner was very helpful and also taught me about some of the unique beads that they have and the purpose and culture behind it.
This place is also a mini market so although it feels a bit tight when ordering, there’s plenty of room at the tables. The whole place is thoroughly decorated and there is authentic art on the wall, some of it 100 years old!
It was a wonderful meal and a memorable experience.

This food tastes exactly like my grandmothers’ recipes. Authentic, fresh, and perfectly seasoned food, every time. Portions are generous and the pita bread is so good it’s often sold out by the afternoon. Good news is you can put an order in the day before and they’ll have it ready for you when you arrive. The kibbe sandwich, gyro, spinach pies and tabouli
salad are my favorites, but everything is delicious! Their desserts are the best! They also have a large selection of frozen and refrigerated items you can take home, including Armenian string cheese, spinach pies, lahmajune and kibbe balls. They also have the usual grocery items you would find in a Middle Eastern market. Absolutely amazing and the owners and staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They get to know you and make you feel like family. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Delicious middle Eastern authentic food. The ladies working in there are so kind and helpful. We love this place for lunch, we come here twice a month. Great food, nice atmosphere!

The food was prepared fast and tasted good, but I wouldn’t say this is the best Mediterranean food.
The rise was really runny and did not have a lot of flavor. The beef shawarma was cooked way too much.
The reason for my 3 star review is because of the food taste and food quality.
It was my first time here

Delicious and fresh, all homemade, best Falafel I’ve had in PHX… Baclava went perfect with a turkish coffee for dessert! Its a delicious reason to support a women run, local business❤️

This place has been here for decades. The family is very welcoming, and the food is fresh and great every time. The prices are affordable. It is one of my top places to eat. The all prepared food is fresh and made there, bread , baklava , tabuli salad. I have doned in and done take out. Since 1995, I have been a patron.

The customer service here was top notch, amazing, all of the ladies were so sweet. The food is definitely worth the stop in here and they have gluten-free options for my daughter who has celiac disease. They have a great selection of Middle Eastern groceries as well and Frozen groceries if you are not wanting to dine in but maybe take something home. But they have a fresh restaurant as well and their gluten free pita is so amazing.

We had been eyeing this little bakery for about a year! We finally stopped by and the owners were so sweet! They helped my daughter pick out beautiful pastries (Pistachio balkawa, walnut Baklawa, and a date butter cookie) and they also helped us pick out some delicious food from their menu.It was our first time trying middle eastern food and it was so good.
**try everything but make sure you try the rose lemonade!**

I was traveling to Phoenix for a weekend trip. I have a gluten intolerance and it’s always an adventure to find places that actually have gluten free foods. And OMG the GF selection here is wild! I had my first gyro in probably 10 years. I had baklava! It was so good I licked the paper. They sell gluten free pitas and other hand made bakery items. The family that owns the shop are super sweet too. The setting is like being in a specialty store with a small cafe. Order at the counter and they bring your order to your table.
