The Chinese bbq is quite good — rather authentic northern Chinese bbq, pricing is extremely cheap, all you can eat for $35/person. Total hole in the wall in terms of environment— go for the food not the ambiance.

My dining experience was profoundly disappointing and, regrettably, the worst I’ve encountered in the Bay Area over the past decade. The establishment failed across all critical aspects: the service was poor, the staff displayed an aggressive demeanor, the environment was unhygienic, and the food quality was unacceptable.

Stopped by this small restaurant for dinner on the way back from hiking in Pacifica.

I had heard about this place a few times before from friends, but had never been.

It’s a small restaurant, that gives off a very nostalgic vibe of some of the restaurants I’ve eaten at when visiting family back in China. The restaurant offers two options for dining – an all you can eat ($35 for normal, $45 for the premium), as well as a la carte dining.

Personally, the all you can eat is a great deal if you’re coming with some friends and want to sample a large amount of skewers and dishes. You get a total of three orders for the all you can eat, but each order can be pretty big, so while it doesn’t sound like a lot, you’ll likely struggle to make it to that third order.

We ordered a lamb and pork Chinese burger, the Xi’An cold noodles, lamb organ soup, and then a wide variety of skewers. The food was all authentic in taste and served in generous portions.

Overall, a great hidden gem, and somewhere I’ll definitely be coming back to whenever I’m passing through.

Really solid food, especially their Chinese hamburger (肉夹馍). We got the pork one and it’s stuffed to the brim. Super juicy and tender. They also have lamb and beef.

Felt like their skewers are a little overpriced but they still tasted good. The meat was a bit tough at times because of the tendons.

The lamb soup (羊肉泡馍) is very flavourful. It has glass noodles and the soup is perfect for a cold day.

Their cold noodle was very pleasant as well. Has lots of sesame flavours and the texture was nice.

Will definitely come back to try their other Chinese hamburgers!

I was blown away by the amazing experience at this place. They have their top notch skewers and most authentic Chinese buns with well-marinated and cooked meat. While the smoky taste left me craving for more, what really sets this place apart is their all-you-can-eat menu. Its price was an absolute steal for the quality and variety of food on offer. I was hesitated while ordering the Chinese buns because most buffet-like restaurants offer dishes full of cheaper ingredients to save on costs, the buns they offered were the exact opposite.
It’s a shame that I only came here to travel. I will come to this place again during my next visit at California.

***Review Update : I recently picked up food from this place. Haven’t seen a more disorganized and unhygienic looking food business. Check how bleach is stacked with produce and placed on top of cooking oil. Wonder if the place ever had any food inspection certification done. The cumin lamb burger was okay and fortunately I didn’t fall sick, but I’ll probably stay away from ordering here.

It’s great to have a place in northern peninsula that specialize on Shanxi cuisine. The Chinese burgers with pork were great, I’m eager to try the burger with cumin lamb next. The Xi’an lamb soup was a very hearty meal with great portions. Will definitely visit and try more of their menu.

Good, classic, no frills Chinese food. If your a fan of dumplings and skewers then you’ll definitely like this place. It’s authentic Chinese at its best, what more could you ask for. And a special Kudos on delivering to downtown SF. Also, you’ll get a good amount of food for the price too.

Pretty much everything on the menu is good. AYCE bbq is a great deal. Grilled bun is especially good.

First time here. Highly recommend the roujiamo with pork or beef, and the lamb soup! Plus, it opens late and is close to SFO, so makes it a perfect snacking place after a long flight!

Absolutely DELICIOUS food. So hard to find northern Chinese cuisine in the states and this was a gem and offered a lot of the food I grew up with in China. I got the xi’an cold noodles and the grilled chicken wings. Both were really authentic. The chicken wings were DELICIOUS and flavorful with every single bite and a ton of cumin. The cold noodles were garlicky and had the perfect sauces to go with it.

The only drawback I have is I ordered on Chowbus here on Google and the restaurant didn’t receive the order until I got there and they looked for it on their phone. They said they don’t take orders on Chowbus—maybe forgetting they have it enabled? They preferred UberEats for pickup. That or one of the Chinese ordering apps which I will probably default to now for future orders.

Will definitely be back!!
